How good that pretty much everyone is happy with Sivo and rates Semi as overpriced.

We will get Sivo for 3 years for what Semi would want for 1 year.

Their ability is not that far apart either.

But imagine if we had both!

I think their ability is significantly far apart but Sivo is probably better value. Semi was fitter, more athletic, better footwork, could shrug players with hips instead of fend and could goal kick.

Edit - I liked in prematch, Artfurz stated that Sivo still need to work on his fitness. I think in particular it’s his recovery period. He’ll make a big run then be out on his feet for 5 minutes. Hopefully another preseason and he can overtake Semi.

But yeah imagine having them both!

IMHO Sivo is ahead of Semi in his rookie year. IIRC Semi used to have many more mistakes in him. Especially with his "hail mary" passes.

My gut is that Semi was faster than him however.

True, truish and true but possibly down to fitness again that Semi was faster.
But Semi was also 4 years younger than Sivo in his comparative rookie year.
I also think Sivo is stronger in the upper body

Semi was good for a few mistakes, especially off the 20 metre taps.

Out of curiosity, Fergo plays centre if we had both Semi and Sivo?

The way Jenko got run down yesterday I'm not sure he'd be good value for another 1 year term. Sivo played a bit of centre yesterday as well, although our centres and wingers do rotate themselves a bit.

Jennings admitted that his knee wasn’t great as a reason why he struggled with that line break.

Either way, it’s a concern.

Mennings declared he wasnt properly prepared last season. Diet etc. We know how that turned out. 2019 up until he was injured was more like the Jenko of old. Given his long lay off its fair to assume his fitness is down. Hopefully he can recapture his fitness and form and return to his pre injury form. Hes also a year older. I wonder if his one year extension is done and dusted?

Your position is generally where you play in defence. Players always end up 'out of position' in attack because certain players are much more involved than others, plus teams are trying to generate a mismatch (e.g. Paulo running at halfbacks, or nippy players running through the middle). Anyway Jennings is still the best defensive centre, which pretty much makes him the best centre, period.

Period!

His knee is still a bit dodgy. He hinted as much in the post game interview.

You need players like Mennings. Only simpletons look at how he was chased down when he was in the open and think that's a problem. We've got more than enough attack on offer.
