I cant find the source but i recall reading an old article recently where Semi stated he wouldn't play for anyone other than Parra.
That was Jarryd Hayne ........hang on !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can see him possibly returning to the NRL but I would be stunned if it was at our club.

He could command top dollar if he goes elsewhere

Wonder if Gold Coast will put their name In the hat for his services with a huge offer? (Mal did pick Semi for Australia)

If next year is MJs (has he signed?) and Fergos last with us, then we will have some coin for Semi, and will need someone like him, he is only 27 this year.

Would this be about right for us?
(I think the salary cap is going up soonish as well?)

4 year deal - 2.4 million maximum dollars

2020 450k
2021 650k
2022 650k
2023 650k

Bit high for a winger but we know what he brings , also would increase our premiership window opportunity with him in the side.

Mal was also the coach who refused to play him in the Kangaroos team.

He is sensational, but there are better all round league players

100%.

But the one thing he does exceptionally well - running the ball - makes him stand out on his own, imo.

Just look at his highlights package - he's beating people high, low, with pace, with agility, with fends, with steps, with power, with grace...

I agree that some players are overall better players, but I am firmly of the belief that he is a one trick pony, who is the best at his trick on the planet.

The thing is, on any given play he is the best ball runner in the world, but over 80 minutes there are quite a few NRL players that contribute more. Just picking him at fullback wouldn't get him more involved because he's not an endurance athlete. Like Hayne at the back he would spend a lot of time strolling around getting his breath back. Meanwhile Tedesco and Trbojevic, that skinny little merkin at the Storm, even Dylan Edwards, and of course Gutherson - these blokes don't stop for 80 minutes.

Parramatta has had a lot of difficulty attracting elite players over the last …… well, for a long time. We need to break this cycle. The answer, I think, is to sign a big-name star (or a big-name coach) and start from there. Arthur nearly got it right when he signed Foran. That could have been the start of a proper re-building of this club. We need to try something like that again - pay massive overs for one absolute star, and begin from there. The days of constructing a solid, well-balanced team of 'good value hard workers' is over. You need a couple (at least) of absolute stars if you intend challenging for the premiership. If we signed Radradra he would immediately make us a top 4 contender, which might then attract better players to our club. Perhaps even a better coach? I say we should make a big play for Radradra. My only concern with him would be his attitude. Would he be too big for his boots these days?
