A TOTAL of $4000 in prizemoney will be up for grabs at the Fiji Bitter Wairiki 7s this month.
Tournament organiser Jone Katoni is extending an invitation to 7s rugby teams in the country to be part of the three-day tourney which begins on the 24th of this month and said they would consider only the first 32 teams for the tournament.
"We have so far received confirmation that Jasa Veremalua is bringing in a team and other teams in Nadi and Suva," he said.
"Taveuni's own rugby league star Semi Radradra has shown interest to play in the tournament.
"We also have an under-19 category and we are also hosting a netball and mixed volleyball match during the tourney."
Katoni said the entry fees for the main 7s rugby tournament was $300 and $150 for the under-19 category, $100 for volleyball and netball teams while $50 is levied for the women's rugby competition and the golden oldies competition.
"The prizemoney for the under-19, netball and volleyball tournament would depend on the number of teams that show interest," he said.
"Funds collected from this year's tournament will be diverted towards the upgrading of the tournament venue at the Wairiki grounds."
