Those "punches" are seen in every single intra club trial. Not an issue for me. It is men playing men, simple as that.

No they aren't, and stop trying to justify them. You're an idiot.

Exactly, punching/wrestling is part and parcel of every single intra club trial. There were punches at an Essendon trial last year as well. Nothing is done about it by the AFL!

If that truly is the case then what a disgusting code.

I hardly have an issue with it, but that is why it is difficult to judge punching as an "offence" as barely any charges are laid for punching. The kicking is the issue and 4 weeks for that is fine. That has been my point all through Timmah.

It happens in every intra club trial. No point in charging 40 blokes a week for things that happen in every trial. Go and watch an intra club trial Timmah, the rules are a bit different to normal AFL, where you get away with more. It is boys being boys.

No, punching is violence. Sorry. You can't excuse it as "boys being boys".

AFL is a f*cked sport.

In a normal season match they would be punished. In an intra club trial match there is no need to punish it unless it is a king hit like Hall did. Is punching wrong, technically yes, but I don't want 40 guys charged every week from an intra trial match. These can be dealt with in house rather than wasting tribunal and MRC's time. Go and watch an intra club trial, and you will see the difference between what is allowed in that match and a real AFL home and away match

I'm no longer talking about it being punished or it's legality in-game, I'm talking about the fact you think it's passable conduct on a field at all. It should not be allowed at all is my point - it is violence.

In an INTRA CLUB trial, I have no issue with the rules being "relaxed" a bit as most players are involved in a scuffle or two over the summer. In the NAB cup, and the AFL regular season these offences are clamped down. I have never said that I condone it, especially during the AFL season but charging every single offence from intra club trials is not practical and would wate the tribunal's and MRC's time.

You clearly do condone it if you think it's ok for punches to be thrown. It shouldn't matter what type of match it is, intra-club, NAB Cup, International Rules... I don't care. It's on field violence. And I SAID I DON'T f**kING CARE ABOUT THE AFL TRIBUNAL sh*t YOU'RE CARRYING ON WITH! I simply don't see how you think it's "ok for people to punch each other".
