Parra have really done a number on us from Juniors thru to NRL last weekend. A major ouch moment- and there's been a number of those in recent times. But as the masochist said to the sadist, you can't hurt me because eventually you get to enjoy the pain.
Very good redandwhite.

Yep, a disgraceful performance. Word has it the the St.George District club is going to completely clean out the Support staff from the top down. Apparently a lot of discontent within the Stg set-up. A certain faction has got into the group & is destroying it from the inside. Been going on for 18 months.

Hmmmm! Looks like a real drop in the pride of the Red V.

sad its taken this long. Illawarra have been a much more supreme breeding ground for juniors for a long time.

Can't agree more. As much as I am proud to be from the St George area, I honestly do not care one bit about the bickering about what matters more, St George or Illawarra -- it's been almost 23 years, it's a joint venture doesn't matter. St George hasn't bred a whole lot of good juniors since Duff, Sele, Host and Luciano but there seem to be a couple of good ones coming through. Illawarra has given us a heap of talent, including Sloan, Junz, Bud, etc

I agree. I don't care one way or the other where our guys are coming from and which area is doing better. I just want us to grab the best players in both areas and lock them up if they show promise and potential for development leading to the top grades.
The Dragons/Steelers arrangement should be looked at as a "Band of Brothers" willing to fight for a great cause and that is to get the united club up there where we belong.

How about starting them off in all comps as St George / Illawarra rather than Steelers or St George, that way they might recognize a sense of ownership for the Dragons overall, Be it at Kog or Win , they are the Dragons.

Agree 100% however too many vested interests from the old boys on both sides will ensure that it does not happen.
It is so crazy that this continues. As I say "Band of Brothers"fighting for a common cause. They should put aside their own interests and work as a team just like the players. When you have these divisions, there is no possibility for success.

We state our reasons but no one listens.

agree with everything you said. Definitely like to keep Illawarra and st George seperate in juniors tho so we get 2 solid teams coming through into JF and KOE cup

Absolutely agree. If there is a joint St George/Illawarra team then we will lose more juniors to other clubs such as Cronulla, Souths and Canterbury. Wasn't Kyle Stanley employed to bring on the St George juniors? And what has happened to the Dragons Academy?
