If Rugby failed in Perth, even with all the support from the South African community, what future does Rugby League have????
Rugby has failed in Australia. It's in it's death throes.
Perth was just the easy target to trim a franchise.

Well
It already failed once.
The entire state of WA had about the same crowds as the sharks.

They averaged about 20,000 in 1995 and had the WACA packed on their first day. Remember the whole game got f**ked in the arse a month into their existence which screwed the Reds over.

Sharks got 80 thousand + to the grand final

The NRL can make a clean slate of things by dissolving the Sutherland shire franchise and moving it to Perth under new management. The Western Australian fans are more honest dealing with their money

LOL as if Shark's fans are responsible for the dramas.Maybe the NRL should have close down the Storm ,after the blatant salary cap cheating.Hardly a clean slate.
Achieving little and opening the door for an a Southern Division A League franchise to step in.And I'm sure the NRL has taken that into account, in addition to the financial underpinning of the $950m development
With no guarantees the Perth expansion will be a long term success.Hell the Titans in rl heartland are struggling to get crowds.
The Roosters should be the Nth Sydney/CC franchise, and Sth Sydney take over the East Coast.

The Sydney Roosters are based in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney, which is where all the old money is. You can't walk away from such wealth for the sake of marginal geographical diversity in the north of Sydney and even outside Sydney.

And what use is the old money when it was phased out in February 1966.

See we are the all new shiny version phased in from 1967

You can have your old money and shove it up which ever oriffice uncle nick enjoys watching you penetrate

Does that Opal Tower at the Olympic Park cause any concerns for apartment living? Apartment prices have been taking a hit compared to land everywhere

Might be where the money is whilst Uncle Nick is sucking up the Oxygen,"Sure' ain't where the fans are".Nor the juniors.
No wonder they are pushing into the CC.
In reality, sure you can move from Sydney. and it needs to be done for the sake of the game.

One game a year is pushing into CC? We’ll get the odd junior from up there without having to move full time, bit like Saints do with the south.

The old money has insured that we never ask for hand outs nor see us jump from one crisis to another. We’re one of the clubs that don’t keep the NRL power brokers awake at night so I don’t get the ‘move for the sake of the game’. Hope to see you still with us in the new year.

No need to stress for at least a decade about the Sharks being relocated.... With over 40 million still to come from the development that covers us for about 6 far cups and another 10 years of 3 million $ losses.

Haven't you guys got involved with the CC juniors since ?

So Mr Pearce was not an issue ATT for the NRL.And Mr Carney.
I don't think there are any clubs who haven;t at some stage kept the NRL on tenterhooks.Whether it be via off field idiocy or monetary issues at times.

We'll be there with bells ,on not only in 2019 but well beyond. Thanks for the concern.
In 2050 don't care .

I meant that we weren’t a financial basket case and no bailout concerns for the NRL. We’re probably a textbook example on how to run a club.

No doubt you’ll still be around but wouldn’t you rather thrive than just survive?

I get it.
We will thrive, once the deadwood and debts are cleared now work in progress. We have been through the year to year survival mode, due to incompetence.
When the NRL appointed Bruno Cullen to do the club audit and acknowledged , the club's future potential to be among the top 5 ,financial strength wise.
