Well they shouldn't be tackled at all if they expect to be safe.
Try again.

I said they have the right to expect the conditions are safe, not that they are safe themselves.

What they can expect from their workplace and the accepted risks of participating are two entirely different things. You're either being deliberately obtuse or you simply don't understand. I can't pick which.

Mustn't look very hard.

This is from a google search and only in the last twelve months:

Did you not notice Barrett bitching and moaning all year about a lack of resources? Endless stories in the last 10 years about how they work out of demountables? Ongoing wars with Warringah Council about Brookvale? Difficulty obtaining/keeping/renewing some sponsors (albeit not a unique issue to Manly)?
Wow! Way to miss the sarcasm

How dangerous is it in a change room?
Water too cold?
Seats too hard.
Silly me, I thought we were talking about the playing surface which saw the venue closed for a month or so as recently as 2015 and saw the commissioning of an independent report into perceived increases in lower body injuries more recently.

In fairness to the venue, I understand that report cleared the surface, but the fact it had to be drafted at all is a concern.

No it's not.

That's like getting an asbestos report, finding no asbestos, then saying it's still a concern.

There were three ACL injuries in the first part of last season which obviously led to the report being commissioned. Add the 2015 closure and it's difficult to suggest Brookvale's surface hasn't had some level of concern in recent years.

I don't recall saying Brookvale needs to be knocked down. Correlation does not equal causation, my friend.

Well they shouldn't be tackled at all if they expect to be safe.

I don't know if you've noticed but it's an inherently dangerous activity. That's why the players are lauded as being tough and resilient. That's the appeal. That's the life of a sportsmen. It's what tough and extreme sports people do. They push harder than the average Joe on a work site or in an office. That's the product. That's the occupation.

Is it though? Is THAT really the thing you turn up to see?

"Just look at these amazing athletes. Blowing out their knees, destroying their ankles, ending their careers at 23 like absolute gladiators. I know some whimps would rather watch them play for the full season, but us REAL fans love seeing them dramatically fall over in backplay and get stretchered off to the hospital. That is RL at its finest..."

If THAT is the thing that draws you to RL, im glad youre not in charge. Jeez...
