Thats ridiculous... Noddy is a class act and should go straight back into halfback .... He's been playing the 1st few weeks this year behind Dyksey as main play maker in attack anyway or at least equal.. he's great in defence and is a great leader ... Him and Dyksey as either side of the ruck options is potenially up there with some of the best halves combinations in the comp...

hahahaha

I bet the forwards are enjoying Kimmorley not playing. Those ridiculas flat cut-out passes and inside balls he passes are so telegraphed that the forward recieving the pass usually gets smashed. Like Frenzy said in his opening post, the forwards are getting to run onto the ball from a deeper position and didn't it look great, reminded me of the old days when Langy coached us, a free flowing game. I'd much rather watch that style of play than the Kimmorley style of play.

I dont care how many we win without noddy he will walk straight back into the side as captain and 1/2 back. He is our class player. Its about winning the comp not just 1 game and we wont be able to do that with dykes at 7 and kearny at 6.
Frenzy "thats the facts of the matter."

Kearney hasn't shown enough in two games that he is the answer.
Has done some good things and some very bad things. He is a good backup, that's all.

Hopefully Noddy will come back fresh from injury and recapture the form from early 2005.

I can't beleive people still think of Kimmorley as a class player these days. His ability to lead us around the park with his so called premiership style is so out dated that other clubs probably hated seeing him get injured. We simply beat the Cowgirls with a different playing style and if we continue to play a Dykes style game we will win plenty of games this year.
When Kimmorley comes back with his flat style game we will once again plummet to the bottom of the ladder because oppostion teams have seen this style of game plan for the last 5 years and just line up the receiving forward in numbers and smash em.

atleast he will pass it in the oppostion 22 and take a chance unlike dykes who seems scared to give it to outside players in better position.

OK Sheros if Kearney is not the answer why not blood Caine in the halfback roll?

Kimmoreley has talent but a lack of adaptibility it appears. Unless he has a massive pack of mobile forwards - It works less often then not. Frenzy summed it up perfectly - Andoball.

Kearney although no Benji type player, has done good things in his 2 games to date and shows more creativity that Greg Bird has in 5 years. Dykes has passion for the club and it shows. His vision and options were top class last night. Beats the hell out of 5 hitups and a kick. Dykes instills doubt. Noddy tries hard but too hard sometimes. By demanding the ball EVERY time, he is easy to shut down. Lets see kimmorely use some of his vaunted skills to create some opportunities for a change. I say if he cant change with the times and try and fit in with the team (as opposed to vice versa) then he goes the way of the Dinosaur.

I say if Noddy cant bring anything good to the mix, he stays out of the mix. Select Dykes and who ever else is playing best.

Hard for me to comment on Caine, having not seen him play recently. He does seem to be going very well in PL. If his form warrants it, I reckon he is worthy of a shot at firsts.

Although, Dykes at half seems to be working atm. He is the lynchpin at the moment. Maybe Caine at 5/8, if Kearney doesn't improve? I wouldn't make any changes for next week. keep a winning combination together.

6. Kimmorley
7. Dykes

?

Maybe an option. Kearney hasn't shown much, apart from his first half against the Tigers.
Dykes on the other hand, has been brilliant. But he has been pretty good all year.

This is a gee up isn't it about Brett Kimmorley?

I cannot possibly fathom how anybody who knows any one thing about rugby league could watch that game last night and walk away thinking ' i can't wait until we get BK back in there.
Without a doubt If BK plays last night we are goooonnneee at 22 - 10. GONE!!! Without a doubt.

Where on earth have you guys been for the last 20 Sharks games?
Have you seen our forwards play in those games?
Did you see the difference last night?

And please...the argument that he played for NSW and Australia. Well, let's pick Mark Mcgaw next week with Greg Pierce (the original) at lock.

I was a big fan of BK's. I saw him play some of the best halfback footy I will ever see at the Mariners and Melbourne, but gee, I have been pulling my hair out watching what he has served up since SOO 1 last year. Or even before that.

We won last night. we played attacking football and gave the best team in the comp 12 points start. That takes teamwork, leadership, belief and talent. And for you blokes who obviously have not watched the game, that begins with the playmakers at 6 and 7.
How the hell you can walk away from that and wish to return to what we have seen dished up previously is totally beyond me

It must be a gee-up.

Whatever we think of Kimmorely, and Iam not a fan, is irrelevant because as soon as he's fit he will be straight back in at halfback and will always be halfback while he is at the club.

Get used to it I say.

We will need noddy.
all of our halves will suffer injuries at some stage & they wil ldictate who plays where.
Not selections.

Noddy has to adjust his game for the team and not vice-versa...

Hopefully a good run, beginning with last night's win, will ensure this happens...

That side last night plus a FULLY FIT Noddy who is willing to adjust his style is a top 4 contender... I have no doubts...

I know I may be in the minority but I am a big fan of Kimmorley. He is a great halfback with great vision. I will say that he is struggling a little at the moment, actually since the bad pass in Origin, but he has a sensational kicking game and I believe that he can defend when it is called for.

Sorry if I have offended

I think nobody should doubt his skill and talent... however many of us are critical with his out-dated style of play that is reminiscent of the late nineties...

On form, Noddy's Kicking, Vision, Enthusiasm and Defence are second to none but Johns... he just doesn't allow himself to produce it.

id say he has been struggling since 2003 and still is. i think he has held the sharks back with boring footy long enough. he should p|ss off to england when his contract is up

Kimmorley a great leader......pull the other one. He has no leadership qualities, he is not passionate, couldnt give a stuff if he makes a mistake and does not try to lift the team when we are in a slump.......you may have been dreaming about his last 30 or so games for us. It is time for Kimmorley to move on and for Cronulla to build around a positive, driven leader who inspires people.
