We've been baking cakes since '67. None of them would get a look in on Master Chef or even Huey's Cooking Adventures......

Flanno was his coach in 04. Pretty impressive performance not only for Soward but for an unbeaten team.

Of course, it was a shame they were unbeaten as they beat a Porter led Sharks side in the GF.

Jersey Flegg Sharks side were f**ken robbed in the Grand Final that year.

Had a try denied that would have won them the game before a f**ken freakish field by Soward in extra time saw them go down.

Jersey Flegg, who cares. NRL is all that matters

Recruitment is great.Toops, Snowden, Kelly, Gardner,Aiton, Flanagan Collis, VAve, barret.

retention is great. Gal, Ports, Fergo, Stapo, wright, Mills

Development is great. Fergo, Kelly, Stapo, Wright, Mana, Bakuya, Kungfu, Mills, Gordon.

How the club managed to acheive any of this, let alone all of this, on its budget is beyond me.

You guys are all watching the cake cook & deciding to throw it out because it hasn't risen. Well its only half cooked. Patience.

I know what your saying Reef and I agree with parts of that but I am just talking about outside backs. IMO our coaching staff are clearly deficient in this area. Here's some examples why:

Attack - Need I say more

Recruitment - In four years one NRL quality outside back in Collis was bought and he is injury prone.

Retention/decision making - Persisted too long with rubbish players in Simmons despite being warned by various people and now Covell. Covell is not rubbish but we need try scoring wingers. 15 other clubs cant be wrong. Meanwhile promising young backs in Goodwin and Neilson were not given a go and so left and are now going great guns at other clubs.

Skill level - Handling, dont run the right lines, cannot draw and pass, cannot set up wingers etc etc Players like Brown before he left and Pomeroy have not developed at all under Stuart and have probably gone backwards

Backline play - How often do we see decent backline play. Hardly happens.

2010 - Even this year it is evident. Fergurson, Stapleton, Gordon, Kelly being chopped and changed. Its all over the shop.

Stuart is a forwards coach who thinks he can win games by just having a good pack. Has been quoted as saying he wont pay too much money for centres and wingers. The sooner he realises this is wrong we might start scoring a few more points.

Do you think he would own up to such a rookie mistake though newman?

not taking a shot btw just saying...

why would exploring what coaching options were available be classified as a 'mistake'?

surely the current situation cant go on forever?

what would the club do if ricky decided to jack it in of his own accord?

are we that naive that we think while players are being courted and spoken to all over the world that coaching staff are not?

ricky stuart is demanding the nrl to give him the game plans that the referees use, so he can understand why the players aren't executing his game plans

Mention on this mornings 2ky / racing radio sports show of the whisper about of Stuart heading to the Broncos. Mention in the Herald that Brown won't make public comment but doesn't deny an approach.

Little by little it's all starting to come out.

Frenzy.

I saw that article. Also mentioned how Irvine is trying to uncover a "third party". Is there a splitter in the Judean People's Front? Is the weasel trying to weasel out of something again?
