Sharks NRLW Bid

Yeah bubby. I got that but was pointing out there must be free time for them to run the other 2 teams at Pointsbet
Who knows mate. Apparently it's an issue. They could just transform the old gym out the back and make those people in there now use a demountable.
Point being, this can be an avoidable issue if this really was the reason the NRL chose those other teams in the first place

It’s a travesty the sharks were overlooked for this originally. Makes my blood boil. f**ken sort it out nrl
That was f8rked , But we are in much stronger position now. Might also be a "womens vote" getter, now ,so maybe our # One Fan can weigh in on it with some righteous righting of wrongs !

It still makes my blood boil too Eion. I can confess that I have never watch a NRL chics games since that decision and no intentions of doing so until we (and maybe souffs ) are admitted.

You should hear up here how the Farcan Donks carry on about the chics team winning the first few NRLW Round Robin competition. It makes me sick.
I too haven't bothered with NRLW and will continue to ignore it while ever we aren't in it.

Yeah it's 100 percent a made up reason.

The Roosters didn't have a team and don't have a stadium at all at the moment.

NRL have said that up to 4 new teams could be added for the 2023 season making it a 10 team comp.

One would say North Queensland and Canberra are certs - Warriors also if they elect to put a side in having withdraw because of Covid/travel restrictions leaving one spot available - Sharks/Souths/Wests Tigers being i assume the main contenders?

Bulldogs and Penrith were to apply in 2024 but may bring their applications forward for entry in 2023 as the NRL said originally they were adding 2 teams in 2023 and 2 teams in 2024.

Not sure where Manly/Storm/Dolphins are up to with any application to enter a NRLW team.

The CBA is also up for renewal for both the NRL and NRLW so be interesting to see what the funding will be for both comps / salary caps.

Currently 350k cap for NRLW teams- 24 players - teams can sign 2 marque players whose wages are not included in the cap - Minimum wage is 10k.

NRLW Players are signed on season by season contracts so have to see if this changes and players can sign multi year deals.

Serious question: why did Souths miss out again. I was pissed off when both our girls and the strong Souths side were refused on geographical grounds (and East got in)

I can honestly say I have not watched a NRLdubyuh chics match since the Shark Park Women's World Cup shindig.

Woman's game has been pretty good, it's got some park footy moments but the skill levelhas been impressive. Just can't wait for the Tri-series between the chicks and the chicks with d*cks !

State against State. Mate against mate. Gender v's gender. Bring it!
