Sharks on the move from Rothfield

They have chosen Kogarah as a replacement ground, theoretically it looks the most obvious choice in a proximity decision. I agree that Sharks support there will be down, hell we don't exactly get near selling out at our own ground.
It's a real shame the SFS isn't available, our fans tend to like going there.

Personally, I would not be playing that many games there as proposed. I'd be chasing some corporate cash, and getting some away supporters cash.

St. George Illawarra- Kogarah
South's- Kogarah
Easts - Kogarah
Manly - Kogarah
Dogs - Kogarah
Wests - Kogarah or WankBest
Parra - WankBest
Panthers - WankBest
Newcastle - Central Coast
Raiders - Darwin or Perth
Broncos - Suncorp
Titans - Sunshine Coast or Suncorp
Cowboys - Sunshine Coast or Suncorp

If they don't have some sort of stake in those shitty apartment ghettos they've constructed & didn't make a dump truck full of money from the sale of the land surrounding the League Club then they're a even more of a bunch of dopey administrative flogs than we all knew they were anyway.

Unless someone is skimming of the top....

In conclusion f**k off out of Kogarah Oval you perpetual losers.

Shame we're placating to the fickle local supporters who can't be bothered going to Shark Park half the time.

If it turns out to be 10 games at Kogarah then I think they've missed the opportunity to take a few games elsewhere . Darwin and Sunshine Coast is a good start, but play a few games there, take one to Perth or Bush for some $$$

Or catering for the 10k that do show up rain, hail or shine.

I don't want 10 games at Kogarah. Probably 5 or 6 though.

We shouldn't just totally neglect the regular supporter base.

Kogarah should only be uses as a last option. unofrtunately it will be uses as the first option to placate the fickle locals & rusted ons , who won't turn up anyway.

So what do you do?

Just have a ticketed membership base that you tell to get f**ked?
Why? There will still be games in Sydney. Leichhardt, Belmore, North Sydney Oval, SCG, Bankwest, etc etc.
Just upgrade the experience for the inconvenience.
Just cann all corporate sponsors for the duration & sell corporates on a game by game basis.
The move to kogarah will fail.
You may as well fail, trying something different.

Leichardt is not better than Kogarah. Especially when it's another hour away from the core fan base. It's not even really accessible by public transport from the shire.

Belmore hardly holds NRL games. And it's worse to get to than Kogarah.

North Sydney Oval hasn't held NRL games for what, 15 years? It's not convenient, has worse parking and is a couple of train changes.

Kogarah is not home. It won't be fantastic. But it will be the best option if you want to continue to engage the core fan base. It is good enough for a couple of games for the next 2 years.

This cry baby attitude is not at all productive.

It is not the best option. It is just the option that you like.
North sydney will get twice the peole Kogarah does, so wil lleichardt & Belmore. That is because they are grounds people like going to. People travel interstate, to go to leichardt. People like myself. Each year I come down to leichardt. I never go to Kogarah. Not in last ten years anyway.
Your excuses are very lame. Like the management.

Ah ok.

Better ignore the whole ticketed membership for the one bloke that "travels down" to go to Leichhardt once a year.

I have been to Kogarah
It does nothing for me
I hate it ... it feels completely wrong
The locals will not want us there.
They hate us.
We hate them.
Our fans won’t go in numbers.

Bankwest.
Regionals
Inter state
NZ
PNG
FIJI
Probably win a few new fans .

It won't work well to have our base at Cronulla and then just get on a plane or take a long drive every week.

Kogarah is probably the most obvious and easiest because it is the closest. Meh we struggle to get 10k at Shark Park on sunny Sunday afternoon anyway. Doubt it’ll be much better or worse.

I agree with Bad Boy Bubbly, play about 5 or 6 at Kogarah, the ones you know should draw some sort of crowd and beg the NRL to roster them in a good time slot and take the rest on the road.
