So it's a Frenzy solo show?Blood Frenzy
(Blood is what happens when the stake is removed…)
Hmmm - I didn’t think that one through…So it's a Frenzy solo show?
I couldn’t get excited about it - sounds a bit too much like a few random Sharks fans attempting to make a podcast work..I'm a regular Sharkcast listener, haven't listened to the ET Stand one as yet.
Which one? Sharkcast or the ET Stand one?I couldn’t get excited about it - sounds a bit too much like a few random Sharks fans attempting to make a podcast work..
ET Stand.Which one? Sharkcast or the ET Stand one?
This is two fold, one because Sam just isn’t that guy at all and the gap between really nice and pissed off is so small that it doesn’t ever get to that extent. The other is so he has contacts at the club and I respect it all.ET Stand.
SharkCast attempts to be professional but is too soft on the club.
what do you want Sam to be hard on?ET Stand.

I realise you occasionally (?) join Sam for a chat - and he comes across as a lovely bloke.what do you want Sam to be hard on?
the results on the pitch are for the most part good, the coach is good, the players are nice boys, we have sponsors.
if anything, he was critical of the teams inability to take the opportunity Penrith presented us at the end of the year.
his criticism of players is measured and imo, professional. there may be room for discussion here and there re selection or recruitment. it wouldn't be his style to blast a player and tbh, it would be disingenuous to who he is.
as to other sharks things, don't ask about the leagues club. don't even look at that elephant graveyard Simba, you must never go there.

I just feel that there’s an unwillingness to overly criticise anybody - whether it be players, coaches, or anybody associated with the club.
I just personally prefer an approach that is a little bit more hard-nosed.
True.and that's fine, however he has never been that though
adam was harder on players/club than sam when it was the two doing it together
Great stuff K - right on
Great pod with Hunt.
Some highlights
- Stuart didn't tell him he was making his debut, he found out after team lists were released. Sticky had told him 3 weeks before it he was close then wasn't picking him in the 21. Then said he called him a few hours after the team was released and said along the lines of "I assume you've seen the team". Played him 6 minutes.
- Stuart didn't pick him again for 2 years
- Asked Stuart if he could leave to join us mid 2019 and was told no way. Stuart actually said he was about to ask him about extending
- The pack he made with Sifa on making the top 30. Said how happy Sifa was for him when he won the final spot and how happy he was when spots opened up for Sifa later
- Watching his baby be born via facetime while driving home from the bubble in QLD.
- Katota set an alarm to call him every hour of the drive and check he was ok. Told him at 3am mate I will be fine go to bed you have a game to play today.
- Butted heads with Fitz at the start
- Asked Fitz for a release in the first year after playing round 1 and getting dropped. Fitz said he would consider it if the team wasn't a threat. Parra asked to take him and went to the GF. He is thankful he didn't go there and stayed with us.
- How close he and Fitz became and how much he loves and respects him
- Said Fitz wishes he could change how the relationship started
- Mentioned Fitz buzzed him before he went to tigers training offering anything he needed from personal life chats, video review basically anything as a mate.
Some pretty interesting thoughts and explains why I would rather have a coach like Fitz over Stuart. You can tell how much the players love him. How tight the club is. From Trindall giving him his car, to Katoa calling him every hour to Sifa being happy when Hunt got the spot they both wanted.
Take us to the next level AFB.
