IMO - there just seems something better/stronger about the forwards when Payten is playing but saying that, wasn't there talk of him hanging up his boots at season end? ;-)

The team can actually play Todd as long his Sheens runs with 4 reserve forwards and not 1 back who he plays for 5 minutes or not at all.

They can then get rid of Fitz and most other fringe players who have not offered much such as Daniella and Brown - these guys are outside backs and we can call on the U20's and both West Magpies and Balmain/Ryde Tigers for a winger or a fullback.

They need to be honest with TT and TT in turn with his specialists need to be honest - if the specialist says, give it away, give it away. Can we still have handshakes in RL ? Can the CEO and TT shake and say if you decide to give it a go in 12 months, come to us first. That's TT, Fitz, Daniella and Brown now and hopefully that gives them some $$ to chase Inu.

Payten is a bit of a leader on field. He's our most experienced player, and he does help our defence a lot. His end is coming though and he's probably on relatively big cash as well. I probably wouldn't cut him yet, but come the end of this year and definitely next, he should be close to out.

When I watch my team win with our local juniors, it gives me more satisfaction, than it would with non juniors. Not sure about you tossa's.

We don't have any past or present good halfbacks in our squad or staff who may be able to assist in the development of young halves.

Who was the last Balmain or Campbelltown junior who played for Wests Tigers, Balmain or Western Suburbs as well as representing in either city/country/ State or Test level?

Um, except that Lui is our first choice halfback... and the guy who plays halfback the best is our first choice fullback... even though he plays fullback like he'd rather be at the beach.

These guys have played 5 minutes and most of you have written them off. I'd say Moltzen has secured the 7 spot. Lui and Lazarus are the fill ins at the moment. Let them develop. I find it hard to believe that these guys won't improve over time. If they don't I'd get rid of the coach first because these kids have got the talent. Coaches job is to help improve their game.

I have to agree with Reek . Lazarus looks like he has potential but not quite ready yet . Lui on the other hand looks ready and given time to develop could become a good 7 . Although not a junior Arana Tuamata is also an option and Nathan Waters Hasn't had a chance to prove what he is capable of at the top level Having said that it is good to see the juniors come through eg; Hodgson Skandalis , Gibbs Lawrence etc . Bringing juniors through could also prove beneficial (if ) the NRL ever decides to reward clubs with salary cap exemptions .Thats a big if!!!

Over the years, we have been getting rid of players. Some who have gone onto greener pastures. This has not fixed our troubles. Enough is enough. Coaching staff should be next. Well overdue.

How much would Taumata have been on? Is he just collateral damage, or is there more to it than that? If he's just being cut to free up money, I can't imagine it would be saving us all that much.
