Sheens Bias - Lote in over Boyd

If Boyd isn't in the starting side when the real games start, that's a joke... but I think he will be.

You guys (mainly Tigers fans) who are saying Tuqiri should be picked because he's a specialist winger are blinded with bias. Boyd has been one of the most consistent players in Origin the last few years, playing 'out of position' on the wing (even though he's probably played more first grade games on the wing). Steps up every single time, you would be hard pressed to even find one thing he has done wrong on the wing ever.

You are also conveniently forgetting that Boyd played on the wing for the Broncos for a few years, and won a premiership, all while Lote was over counting his cash in rugby union.

Lote has played one season, played a few good games, and there is absolutely no way he should be in the Kangaroos side over someone like Boyd.

This is what is wrong with having a club coach as a rep coach.

No offense, you could put Steve Turner or James McManus where Darius Boyd is in the Queensland side and the results would still be the same.

Tuqiri wouldn't do it as well.

Boyd is a winger playing fullback anyway. He's not a natural fullback like Slater, Dugan, Stewart, Karmichael Hunt (was).

pretty much. Inglis is doing most of the work down Boyd's side.. all Darius is basically doing is sprinting down the corridor to touch down... which has had happened over and over again in recent years, but u get the drift

Tuqiri is more of a threat. He is more likely to break tackles and he also helps his team by tacking hit-ups. And Boyd hasn't played wing since Origin 3, doesn't matter if that is his natural position.

I'm sure Tim Sheens is reading all of your opinions.
He's is the coach - let him make a choice with his team selection.
Maybe he is bias, maybe lote is a specialist winger, maybe boyd is a better player, maybe boyd is a S of O winger.
I'm fairly sure none of you have been at training, and behind closed doors when training has gone on.
Maybe Boyd will be back for the next game, maybe lote will have a blinder and he won't feature in the whole tournament.
Sheens has his reasons - he's coach

Maybe Sheens is still pissed off Boyd and the Dragons knocked him out of the finals.

You bias Tigers fans can try to convince me as much as you want, there is no way Tuqiri should be in this team, especially over Boyd. Shouldn't even be in the squad either.

I'm sure Farah will weasel his way in to the line up somehow before the end of the 4 Nations. I'd be watching out if I was Cooper Cronk..

Specialist winger, lol please. Theyre wingers, aslong as they can read attacking plays well enough and is capable under the high ball they are good enough. I believe Boyd can do both and should be starting ahead of Tuqiri for his years worth of hard work.

Even as a tigers fan I don't particularly think tiquiri should be there ahead of Boyd. I do however think Lawrence should be in :D

Why would you play a person on the wing who hasn't played there since Origin 3? With Sheens as a club coach that makes sense for him, but as a national coach, he is picking a specialist.

so what if jarryd hayne didnt get injured, tuquiri wouldnt be in the squad, so would hayne still he get the position.......... but wait, hayne is a specialist fullback?

Reeks of sour grapes from Sheens.
If I recall correctly, didn't Boyd knock on against the Tigers in the semi but the call went the Dragons way?
Sheens is still pissed off about that.
Boyd is the safest back in the game.
His read in defense is second to none.
Never drops a high ball.
Do players even respect Sheens as a coach? He is always up to something shifty.
You never hear stories from players saying how much a better person they have become under Sheens, like a father figure etc.
But you hear it all the time when players speak about Bennett.

If Sheens was showing Bias he would have put Farah on the bench and Lawrence in the #4 jumper. He's a lot more passionate about those two guys than Tuqiri imo.

Tuqiri will get the job done, as would many wingers in the NRL. Sheens is probably showing bias, just like all coaches who also coach at club level.

Solution? Don't have club coaches as rep coaches.

Well you can say Tuquiri is a specialist, but Haynes not a specialist winger either anymore, therefore they would of been picking a fullback on the wing anyway. Tuquiris pretty lucky to be in the squad in my opinion...id be suprised if sheens didnt mention somthing about this a year ago when he was negotiating with the tigers.

It's not like Tuqiri isn't the worst winger in the NRL and doesn't deserve the gig though, so I really don't get all the drama
