I wonder if their were any minimum bench marks set????Maybe their is a reduced payout clause if he fails to make the eight or maybe the Old fox is on full payout if we terminate his contract.

Cant ever remember a Balmain side that actually ever terminated a coaches contract mid stream. They were always to tight and I guess the same apply s to the Wests Tigers. Their has probably been a few cases over the years but I cant think of any in the last 50 years since I have been following our mob.

My guess Sheen would be on 500 grand a year so if it cost a million to flick him it would be the best coin you have ever spent. Put a bloke like Fletcher in their on 200g a year till the right man comes along, he could not do any worse

I doubt it..

Dont forget at the time when he negotiated his new deal, there were "fears" of us losing him to Penrith..

Old Fox indeed....

A heavy injury toll this season could be the only reason for Tim Sheens to retain his coaching position for next season. To be belted in a must win game to make the finals by the Roosters is a disgrace and the fans deserve answers especially with the playing roster we had available. There should have been nothing left in the tank for each individual player and as a supporter I did not see that yesterday. Very disappointing.

The Sunday Telegraph has been told Sheens has a clause in his contract stating if the Tigers fail to make the finals the veteran coach can be shown the door.

The catch is Sheens has to be paid out up to half of his contract - a situation the joint venture club cannot afford to get itself into.

We can also reveal that Tigers directors discussed moving Sheens on at a board meeting three weeks ago.

Privately, some suggested the Kangaroos coach be shown the door with two years to run on his contract.

But the problem is the club cannot afford to sack Sheens and then recruit a new head honcho in a move that would cost up to $1 million.

Further complicating the scenario, there are no better alternative coaches currently off contract and available to take up the Wests Tigers role next season.

Despite the move being discussed at board level, Tigers chief executive Stephen Humphreys said Sheens' position was not under review.

"Tim's position is not under review," Humphreys said.

There's plenty of money to sack the prick. If we paid him out in full he wouldn't be able to get another job. Can't believe the warriors allegedly want the spastic.

And humpty here's one, sign the best coach even if he has a contract, like what the dogs did with hasler.

Humpty is proving as inept as the spastic coach he is defending

EMBATTLED Test coach Tim Sheens has broken his silence over his shaky future at the Wests Tigers, admitting he is under the pump.

"I understand that I'm under pressure," Sheens said, "As coaches, we all are every week. It's part of the job. I'm not making excuses but if Robbie Farah kicks the field goal against Canterbury the other week it's a different story.

"We've also had two video refs dropped from mistakes that have affected us."

Adding to the stress in recent days is an escalating row with former club legend Steve 'Blocker' Roach. Appearing on Channel 10's Game Plan show last week, Roach suggested Sheens should stand down from his position.

And he backed it up when I spoke to him on Friday. "It's a results-driven game and maybe the players have been hearing the same voice for too long and are not responding," Blocker said.

I'm not making excuses but if Robbie Farah kicks the field goal against Canterbury the other week it's a different story
really Tim? what about your team selections in the following 2 games? gee, you could have said, if we didn't lose our fullback in Rd 1, things would have been different.

Not making excuses but I can blame the captain for not kicking a field goal. Gimp.

Sheens says coaches are under the pump every week? He has flown under the radar for nearly a decade.
Get out. The used by date has past.

TWO of rugby league's most experienced coaches face uncertain futures, with the positions of Wests Tigers' four-time premiership winner Tim Sheens and the Sydney Roosters' Brian Smith both on the chopping block.
"We, as a club, have committed ourselves to Tim and we see him as the best man for the job moving forward.
"The fact that some people continue to look for opportunities to push an anti-Tim agenda is out of our control.
"The fact that the media also continues to give it more credit than it deserves is unfortunate."
The Sheens detractors point to the fact the 669-game coaching veteran has only made three finals series in the past 15 seasons.
The Sunday Telegraph has been told Tigers directors have discussed telling Sheens to move his entire support staff - recruitment manager Warren McDonnell, physiotherapist Andrew Leeds and football manager Bryan Hyder - out of the club over the off-season.
On the field, the Tigers have disappointed this season after opting to move on props Bryce Gibbs and Andrew Fifita and recruit Kiwi Test forward Adam Blair from the Melbourne Storm.
Blair, purchased to add an intimidatory edge to the Tigers pack, has failed to deliver value for money.
At the Sydney Roosters, club powerbrokers are convinced the game has gone past 25-year veteran Smith, with Tricolours management poised to appoint Jason Taylor into the head coaching role for next season.
The Bondi Junction outfit can then shift all its attention towards luring Melbourne Storm coach Craig Bellamy to the Sydney Roosters for the 2014 season.

Humphries comments r.e media fuelling Sheens talk are a sick joke. For years no one has muttered.a.word and now when they ask questions he says that?

I love how Sheens blames Farah, too. Deflecting.blame onto the captain, how disgusting. I wonder how Robbie feels about that one?

Disgraceful all round.

I'm hating Sheens more now than ever.

He blames farah for missing a field goal but says nothing about benji handing the storm two tries last night?

Further, from Sunday Telegraph . . . Sheens says "the whole club is under review". Hang on a sec there Timmy . . . the last time someone tried to put YOU under review, you had them sacked, yes?.
While there are gimps at many levels in the club, the voice of the people is yelling that the main problem this season has been team/positional selections.
Only one person responsible for that, Timmy. He lives in your mirror. Go check if he's there.

And also laughed at Humphries saying that he is sick of the media continuing to discuss Sheen's ineptitude and future. As a previous post said . . . we have only managed to get it put out there for the past few weeks.
If only the media had been talking about it for ages, things might have been different now. Oh how I wish they had been talking about it for more than 2 weeks.
God, if only bloody Farah would have kicked them field goals.

Being a disappointed supporter, it is good reading the comments from our CEO the coach is not under review. Strong leadership is what is required now and stability.
