I agree fans' opinions have merit. However, westie goes for this over analytical bullsh*t, like his studied the video and is an expert on the game. He ain't.

Made a diff to benji....

Roqica was first choice, but was cut because he missed training, then jackson was on fire and Roqica couldn't get in

Fifita killed it in the GF....

So after 3 first grade games you right a guy off?

Roqica is likely to play State Cup to start the year because the 20's don't think he's good enough. That's why he couldn't get back in after he missed training.

You've just highlighted my whole point by saying Fifita was brilliant in the Grand Final. He was one of the better players in the game but he's really struggling big time at training. Both he and Lui (as well as a large number of other guys their age) are dominant against people their own age and don't cut it in First Grade for a number of years.

I haven't written Lui off after three games, I'd just have him well down the pecking order including behind a bloke with no football behind him in two years.

Mate, it's not my opinion. There is NO disputing that we attack left since Prince left. There's no disputing that Benji only passes right to left. And there's no disputing that we did not and do not have a half that will attack right in the traditional sense.

It's no coincidence that Sheens and Royce (these guys coach the team if you haven't noticed so obviously they know what they're doing) have moved Ellis back to the left where he can actually be given some ball and chucked Fulton on the right to try and bring some creativity to the side. Not really sure what he's going to do with Ayshford and Ryan as his runners. The bloke had ten times the attack outside him playing PL for the Pies.

So I realise we've no right attack. Every one else on here realised ages ago we have no right attack (though still blamed Collis for never touching the ball) and the coaching staff realise we have no right attack.

Yet I've no idea what I'm talking about because I haven't coached an absolutely remarkable number of losing sides like Sheens. Would you prefer it if I f**ked over a few first grade clubs so I could suddenly have credibility?

There was a reason the idiot was sacked from the Cowboys - unfortunately we've not clued in yet despite suffering longer from the same sh*t.

And let's not mention his effort with the Roos. Why did it take him till the final to finally work out the side that everyone else knew was best. If the Kiwis had a goal kicker or didn't go for their showers with 5 to go, he misses the bloody thing because of his inane stupidity. Stupidity he confirmed by slowly changing the side to the one predicted by 10's of "laymen" on bloody internet forums.

But what would they know.

Why does Sheens use Benji as insurance if things are going well at the club?

Why did the entire board know he should have gone - politics in the end keeping him at the club?

Why is he so defensive/aggressive towards journalists who dare to even mildly criticise if he's nothing to hide?

No - he's a first grade coach.... so he must know what he's doing. Just like Terry Lamb and Wayne Pearce.

The idea of having Lui at half is obviously to compliment Marshall.

Lui seems to have a more tradtional game halfback game. Hopefully in the Sterling mode.

Good kicking game and direct the team around the park.

Maybe the thinking is that Moltzen is not that type of player and with Marshall at 6 a steady kind of halfback is what we need.

Besides anyone who writes Lui of at this stage is a dope. Surely he deserves a chance.

Chunk- dont disagree on the chance bit, but where most people here get angry is that Teflon leaves it way too late to make the changes if things dont work. He shows unnecessary tardiness in taking remedial action- this has been displayed year after year when his team selection and player positioning proves flawed.

I dont mind a game or two if he has shown more than he did last year - all I say is that his performances last year when given an opportunity did not live up to hype nor provide any platform on which to suppose he is the best and automatic choice at half for WT this season.

BTW, for a team who has no left side attack, we scored more tries than 14 of the other 15 teams. The 16th team we, tied with. So I think we'll be right.

No way should Taumata get a start early, I think he needs to toil away for 6-7 weeks before he gets a spot on the bench....

If he walks into the number 7 straight away then what message would that send.

Sheens has got this dead right..

Fitzy for 14 for mine- can cover 6/7/9 1/2/3/4..... the rest of the pack can ( and we all no will be) shuffled around...plus fitzy has the exp and has played

Daneila will add speed to the backs....last year it was pretty much chris or blake, collis only got a run if either were injured, atleast sheens has a few more options this year....lets hope folkes gives him a kick up the arse when he needs to use them...

As far I know, he hasn't been in any trouble since he's been with us and done all that's been asked of him.

Why exactly would we still be punishing him? Why sign him in the first place then?

Since he has been with us? he hasn't played a game yet- its easy to stay off the piss and out of trouble when you are not the real world- look at Carney...

It's not about punishing him- just about getting the attitude right IMO

Thats why laurie failed and why taumata is not in the foundation cup side

Thanks for justifying your claims niff nuff. Bugger off now. You're not even up to forum standard let alone what you claim is necessary.

851: Thanks for the measured response. I know I stir on here, so getting a rationalised response is appreciated for more than one reason. I'm Flanagan's biggest fan on here, courtesy of watching his limited Wigan games under Nobby (wanker). But a 5/8th, hooker he is not. He's a lad with a big lot of bollocks ready to have a crack at being a talented second rower. He'll step with quality, hit with venom and accuracy and run good lines. Better than all the other aussies in our pack. But he's a forward and that's where he's best.

What claims did I make? I claimed only one thing; that your arrogance without having ever played or coached the game is astounding. You replied with an even more arrogant response and failed to detail your achievements in the game. IE: I didn't have to justify my claim, you did it for me.

As I said, bugger off. You've got nothing. You've ignored the post asking for what you've wanted without offering anything yourself. All you are is what you're rallying against. Give some evidence that I (and others) are wrong in what we're saying, other than trying to discredit us by bullsh*t reasoning, and we'll start listening to you instead of thinking you're a piss poor attempt at a wanker hypocrite.
