I think the best Bancroft can expect is to get into the squad, cant see him making the 11 unless Davey is hopelessly out of form. The selectors will no doubt be jizzing over Harris's big ton

One thing about Patto's ton is that he made it at 3 where as he normally bats a lot lower, wonder if this was a directive from CA as he would make a better no 3 than Oozie and Oozie not playing this round wont help.

Also worthy of note SOK getting 5 wickets in the second innings but I think that ship has sailed.

Long road back for Bancroft. Will need to score consistently at shield level before he gets a chance. Just look at Wadey!

On the other hand, JL is at the helm. Might make a captain's call and get another strong West Australian in at the top of the order.

Paine out of the Shield match v Victoria, due to soreness and fatigue

Wade to keep it appears, what a handy cricketer to have in the XI

Fatigued Australian Test captain Tim Paine will miss Tasmania's next Sheffield Shield game.

Paine will sit out the Tigers' fixture against Victoria from Tuesday because of soreness.

"He's still getting over a really long summer, both mentally and physically," Tasmania's coach Adam Griffith said on Friday.

"It's more of a management thing. It's not a major injury or anything."

Paine played in Tasmania's win against South Australia last weekend in Adelaide.

"He just wasn't moving right in Adelaide - he was still a bit sore," Griffith said.

"We had planned to give him a spell at some stage to keep him fresh

Well Wadey will have some competition for runs... He could be outscored by his own byes, even before you add up the runs scored after he drops players

the Gabba is pretty hard to bat on with all the recent rain, both teams struggling, QLD 7/124 chasing 150
