Ok. On another thread "Gareth67" stated that if Nighingale changes his name to Benji Nightingale he could move to 5/8. I don't know why he would need to change his name. Regardless, he can run, draw a defender and pass and he can tackle front on so you are certainly right that he would make a better 5/8 than Widdop.
You are the absolute KING of the misquote.
As I said before, you read very little and comprehend even less.
You really need to pay attention to the details and stop verbalising people.

You forgot your medication again. You have never said that to me as far as I know and that is precisely what "Gareth67" did say. Ask him yourself.
BTW Do you agree with BennyV that Canberra's backup playmaker (Williams) is better than our "marquee" playmaker (Widdop)?

I said :- " Why not go the ' whole hog ' , so to speak , and change his name to Benji Nightingale , and he could play 5/8th as well . " it was a ' tongue in cheek ' reply
to your own post which suggested that he could play utility change or hooker . However , enough precious time wasted explaining this , I need my beauty sleep , Goodnight one and all .

So after all taht, you don't rate Widdop highly. In other words, Canberras backup playmaker is better than our "marquee" playmaker. I think that sums up our predicament. Williams is certainly better than Widdop but personally I don't rate him highly. A fringe first grader.

WTF are you talking about "going out of his comfort zone" as though he had a choice. There isn't any indication Melbourne made him an offer.
"After all that" - after all what? I havent been pumping Widdops tyres at all this season, just been havinga public LOL at yor pathetic attempt to veil your identity.
And no, I don't rate Williams above Widdop, I rate Williams 'very highly' compared to his status as a backup half, I don't rate Widdop highly compared to his current status as an international.

And yes, its been mentioned several times that Melbourne wanted to keep Widdop, but our offer blew theirs away. Again, must be a coincidence that only you and 1 other poster (or ex-poster) try to claim that they didn't!

1. Answer his stupid and biased question
2. Again advise him he is the KING of the misquote and verballing.
3. Tell him that if you required an answer from me you would actually do the asking yourself.

It has been mentioned several times Melbourne wanted to keep Widdop??? By you and Old Timer maybe but not from Melbourne until after he was announced to have signed for us. After which Bellamy was suddenly "devastated". Taking supporters and the club admin for utter idiots who deserve nothing but contempt.

So now I'm doubly confused. You rate Sam Williams very highly, you don't rate Widdop highly and Widdop isn't a "marquee player" (despite McGregor saying he was) but you rate Widdop more highly than Sam Williams? Have you been drinking? It's Monday morning FFS! Don't you think that's overdoing it?

What gives you the idea I'm trying to veil my identity? I should use my real name and maybe post my address and phone number on this forum? If you expect me to do that, shouldn't you lead by example?

"After all that" means after your long and boorish explanation/embellishment you answer my question which was whether or not you rate Widdop highly.

After you take your medicine I think you probably should apologize as "Gareth67" confirmed that I didn't misquote him. What do you think? Nightingale can run, draw a defender and pass and can tackle front on so there is no question he would be a better 5/8 than Widdop but I'm still skeptical he could be a "good" 5/8.

If Saints were smart they should sack Mary asap and bring in Cleary and have Demitriou as assistant.

With Cleary at the helm he can possibly bring Lolohea to Saints as 1/2. Cleary will also know what to do with Widdop, release him to UK ASAP or possibly work on him to improve his game. Cleary can also tap into Panthers juniors and other Warriors juniors with his time at both clubs. Also if Warriors struggle again I think Cleary has a HUGE chance of possibly bringing in Shaun Johnson to the club in 2018. How good would that be. Probably one of the best signings we can ever hope for.

If they don't get Cleary I would go for Demitriou for a 1 year deal with some clauses and 1 being top 8 like the Tigers had for Taylor. If he gets them to the 8 he can get an 1 or possibly 2 year extension depending how high in the 8 and performance based. I know JD is a rookie but so was Maguire and Robinson.

I find that a soon as a coach gets a few years up his sleeve first up they seems to take their time to get the team rolling and we keep hearing that dreaded "re-building" word pop up.

The crowd on Sat plus on the fans sign-up day should have Doust sweating bullets as that is the best indication of a team in decline if I have ever seen 1. Tigers with all their trouble had a packed out crowd at Leichardt and we had 1/2. I know they had alot to play for but So did Saints against Dogs and Roosters and got poor crowds to those games as well.

Sigurd/Vasilevsky/Steve Timpson/Ruby/Reyter - why do you persist with this argument? From what I've read BennyV and OT have both made their positions on the matter pretty damn clear. You've also made your position very clear.

Let''s move on please?

WTF are you talking about? Are they all people who have denounced our "marquee" plodder Widdop and as they did this, they must all be the same person? You are f**king deluded!

If i want to discuss something with the heavily medicated one or with BennyV be so kind as to allow me to do that without getting in my face. Thanks in advance!

Wow that escalated quickly.

Do as you please. I just feel conversations in these threads could be much more productive if you were able to accept other peoples' views (whether they align with yours or not) and then move on.

I don't think too many people would disagree with you that Widdop does not deserved to be billed as a "marquee signing".

Well, someone involved here is an utter idiot who deserves nothing but contempt!!

But yes, by Melbourne, as well as by player managers who have no alterior motives for saying such things (because he'd already signed). But yeah, conspite away.

The fact that you are 'doubly confused' is obvious, as is your poor grasp of the english language. As I said, I rate Williams highly and Widdop not highly in comparison to their standings within the game. They are on different scales, given that 1 is an international player and 1 is a backup half. Its not hard to grasp.

What gives you the idea I'm trying to veil my identity? I should use my real name and maybe post my address and phone number on this forum? If you expect me to do that, shouldn't you lead by example?

Yeah, of course that's what I was referring to. For a guy who labels himself as an ametuer psychologist, you struggle with very basic principles behind internet and identity.

I'd love to know what Lenin would say at a time like this though...

IF LAFAI LEAVES

Could Tim Lafai hold the key to St George Illawarra re-signing boom rookie Luciano Leilua?

The boom backrower is in demand with Cronulla chasing the signature of the 20s star.

But the Dragons are desperately trying to hold onto the young gun.

It’s understood the Sharks have made him a handsome offer but if the Dragons move Lafai on, that could free up some cash to boost their two-year offer.

Lafai, a Samoan international, has had a difficult time since leaving Canterbury in the off-season to make way for Will Hopoate.

Bringing Lafai to Wollongong on big coin, it appears the Dragons have had a change of heart over their recruit.

Approaching 100 games in the NRL, Lafai has been forced to spend the last few weeks playing reserve grade.

It’s understood Melbourne are closely monitoring Lafai’s situation.

The Storm are in the market for a centre after Ryan Morgan agreed to join the Super League next season.

But Lafai’s manager David Rawlings told foxsports.com.au that the Dragons see his client as part of their future.

“Tim is committed to the Dragons for the 2017 season and will be fulfilling that term despite speculation over the weekend that he was linking with another club,” Rawlings told Private Ryan.

“The Dragons have told me as early as last week that they see Tim as an integral part of next year’s campaign.”

Meanwhile the Dragons have told utility back Adam Quinlan, as they have with Benji Marshall and Mitch Rein, they will not be renewing his contract.

Dude you need to relax.
You knowledge of correct information is so far off the mark that your making an ass of yourself!!
During negotiation with the dragons, bellamey came out and stated publicly that widdop was a priority, and he wanted widdop to stay at melbourne.
Maybe you should do some research before making a complete and utter ass of yourself.
Secondly, people are giving there opinions on players, not everyone agrees with your opinion, actually, not many at all agree with your opinion.
Stop taking peoples comments out of content to create a bullshit arguement.
What bennyV said about widdop vs williams made complete sence, yet your trying to twist words, and in the process making a total ass of yourself.
You ARE that other clown valesky or however you spell it, deny it all you like but you and he are the same person.
Speak your opinion and stop trying to turn every thread into an arguement.
You dont rate widdop, we get it, we got it every single time you have mentioned it (way too many times).
Now move on.
Let people discuss this teams issues and state there opinions.

If that is true ( and I doubt it ) Than why not Marketo money being added for Lucky as a further upgrade ? I'd hate to think that we missed out on him just to retain a plodder !

Is our cap that badly managed that we have to rely on a player severing ties mid contract so we can hold onto a promising junior?? Really??
I call rubbish article...

There are enough player movements with rein, Creagh, cooper, Marshall, Quinlan all leaving that lafai's cash shouldn't even really be a concern..,
