Read on net last nite that Hastings mciness and luciano will all be announced very soon...i think there all good signings if true ..all young with potential ..all we need now is a coach ...think Hastings will make a good hooker

Ok so there has to be a reason why hastings is on the nose at the roosters...it is not just his footy, the kid can play. Gun junior and we all cried when he left...he played great when he started at the chooks. Presuming he is maturing into less of a cocky prick (no pun intended) we would be crazy not to sign him - way ahead of hutch.

For me they are two players we should not have entertained signing, I do not believe they are the talents we need and worse I do not like the idea of taking in two players who thumbed their nose at us.

I just saw this reported on TV. If its true then its even worse, we couldn't get Segeyaro to look at us!!!

Sunday footy show also stated Segeyaro won't be at the Dragons. I guess that means we are stuck with a hooker rotation of Marketo/McInnes.

A change can do a lot for a player to become much better than you are seeing now.

Need to get Lolohea to play 5/8 and wait for whoever out of Taylor, Elgey and Roberts is in the QLD Cup for the GC for a halfback. God knows about hooker but McInnes is rubbish. I think Nightingale was a good interchange utility back in the days the club wasn't a basket-case. He can tackle, pass, runs hard and etc. I would think he can be turned into a replacement hooker very easily. "Gareth67" mentioned on another thread Nightingale playing 5/8. No question he would be better than Widdop but I'm not sure he would make a good 5/8.

Segeyaro does not want to come back to the NRL next year full stop.
We were not his only suitor.
He is enjoying the nature of a less structured game over there.
To be honest I have enjoyed watching the pommy games this year more than some of the NRL matches.
