Then what’s the Rovers bit on the name?
I know there is a Kingston area in Hull.

Guess it’s not a big thing.
The club was formed as Kingston (as in Kingston Upon Hull, the city's official name) Rovers. The use of Rovers was common for English sports clubs at the end of the 1800's and there was another rugby team called just Hull (later to become Hull FC), hence why Kingston was used.

After a few years (late 1880's) the club got the nickname redbreasts due the red band across the front of the shirt. It then became Robin redbreasts and by the 1920's it had morphed into just Robins and has been used as our nickname ever since.

Wigan Warriors, Catalans Dragons and Rugby League Commercial bosses are currently in Paris to discuss a potential fixture for 2026.

Wigan chief executive Kris Radlinski, RL Commercial managing director Rhodri Jones and members from Catalans Dragons’ backroom staff met on Tuesday at Stade Jean-Bouin, as first reported by L’Independant, to finalise a match in France’s capital in 2026. All Out Rugby League understands nothing has been finalised, but talks are ongoing.

Well that Wigan win cured my blues from last night's putrid showing from the Broncos. Up the cherry and whites.

Disappointed our run has come to an end but we were gassed after last week and injury disrupted. wigan took their advantage as you would expect from a quality team.. Quality game and awesome atmosphere as usual at Craven Park.

Next week Hull FC v Hull KR - winner claims first position

I know the issue with crowd problems but surely they can create a small section at the back of the top tier for another 300? KR fans, hire some more security, this kind of opportunity doesn’t come around too often,

Zak Hardaker played well in the second row, that could be his new position as he isn’t as quick as he used to be.

Wigan take the spoils in the big clash in front of sold out crowd. HFC continue their run of good form and set up another big result derby on Friday, hapless Salford lose again.

I honestly imagined he'd be finishing this season part time somewhere like Fev or Keighley ....pleased for him....still think he's more of a 'thinking' centre (I e clever but slow) than back row though
