Slash's autobiography

There'd be some interesting stories in that book about the bands interaction with the guys from Metallica, and it'd be interesting to read about Axl's reaction to playing at the Freddie Mercury tribute concert with Elton John. Axl was always very homophobic, the thought of him playing at a gay mans tribute concert and doing a duet with a gay man at said concert was always something I was intrigued about.

I have this feeling Axl spent the next two weeks throwing up and scrubbing himself clean of the "gay germs"

Actually Queen's influence was profound on a young William Bailey as he has admitted in many interviews. You can hear touches of it on November Rain.
Also, not long after that tribute concert Elton John jonied GnR again on stage, either at one of their concerts, or it could of been a Grammy's show.

Interestingly Eminem and Elton also combined in similar fashion much later which i found very interesting given Eminem was probably even more homophobic.

I guess just because you dont agree with someones lifestyle doesn't mean you cant respect their talent or acheivements.

Elton John played with GNR onstage again at the video music awards when they played november rain, loved it when slash gets up on top of the double piano for the last section of the song.

Got and read the book, very interesting. Confirms the feeling of AXL world broke up the band but also makes me think Slash started going a bit Axl like in Velvet revolver, getting his own manager and seperating the band a bit.....

Didnt realise just how much of a junkie he is and that whilst he is clean now going from what he wrote, it will only take a band break up, maybe Perla and him splitting and he could be hanging with Mr Brownstone again very easily....

Also did anyone else notice all the spelling mistakes throughout the book? Megadeth is spelt sometimes deth sometimes death apart from many other errors and im not even good at english or writing and I found them.

Mine even had a whole sentance missing from one page, it just started and then hald the line was empty and continued underneath making no sense!

I just read an ACDC bio called ''let there be rock''.
Same thing.... typo's and just totally wrong stuff all through it.
Molly Meldrum was called Molly Medlum.

All the aussie content was pretty poor.
