See the hate for Slater, Smith, Thaiday, Parker, Inglis, Boyd and almost every other person involved in Queensland's dominance of NSW. Oh there's reasons a plenty to hate them all, but funnily enough over the past 3 or 4 years I really came to respect Corey Parker. He added something new to his game almost every year. He went from being a one dimensional tackler to a real all round forward.

I hated when he was playing against my team, but I admired the way the guy continually improved himself. A quality act on the field.

His good form in his last few seasons got to his head and led him to believe that he could demand respect from others and in turn do as he pleases. For example forearm on Tedesco, headbutt on James and blindsiding that young Bronco during training a few weeks ago but as soon as Klemmer, ran a hard hit up he started to complain.

Its unfortunate but things like that is what people will remember. He really did revolutionise forward play though, went through a few seasons there where he would offload nearly every run, seemed to put it away once Bennett came back though.

All in all you have to be pretty good to play 300+ games so good on him

It's only really nsw that hate Parker. No surprises there. He was a great player that just got better with age. Thought he still could of went another couple years.

I said the same when he announced his retirement but I've changed my mind. He was well and truly done in the end. He looked well off the pace the last month. I've never seen anyone spend more time on their haunches than he did on Friday night.

I like Parker as a forward as he's a fantastic player but yeah you can tell he's a jerk in every way off the field.
There was visible tension with Parker and some of the younger guys on the Broncos this year so I wouldn't be surprised if they are much better next season.

Parker pulled the pin at the right time, he wasn't dishing up his usual performances lately and tbh ever since he got rightfully recognized as a premier forward, he's been a complete toss. just show him a bit of respect m80

Both times came across as a humble normal guy.

He is a little grub while playing but a decent human off the field from my experience.

I always associate Parker with the sort of merkins who jam up threads with 'OMG another offload, 5 points' and 'f**k off! He's injured he's in my Super Coach team that is coming 105,145th but I could've jumped into the top 100,000!'
