Apparently MVP was told his losing streak would end in a face turn.

To be fair, in that match, MVP was being cheered quite loudly. Obviously it was because his winning meant HHH was still a contestant at the Rumble. But the fact is he got the crowd going.

MVP as a face could work - the guy has it all imo.

MVP seems to be.

Why does Vladimir Kozlov get two chances to qualify?

Because he's the WWE's latest pet project. Can't stand him to be honest. He can work fair enough, but I'm quite bored of the "big guy comes out and roars while looking tough" gimmick.

It also cheapens the gimmick when they wank off about his undefeated streak when he's constantly getting disqualified, counted out, or not pinned in a tag match just so they can say he's undefeated when it comes to pins and submissions.

Every company does that with wrestlers they want to build. TNA did the exact same thing with Samoa Joe.

And I dislike it when other companies do it as well. It sets people up to fail. Umaga is a good example of that, who went through his little rampage against mid carders but once he had that first loss creative struggled to know what to do with him. Khali is another, they've tried doing that on multiple occasions with Kane/Big Show/Snitsky/Henry/Tomko etc, but once the losses come and that monster aura is gone creative has no idea where to go next.

Anyway, aside from the winning streak thing, there's no comparison between Kozlov and Joe. Joe was always reserved, intense, and brutal. Kozlov is just another generic "roar at the camera and look mean" while being brutal.

I like Kozlov, he just needs a good finisher.

Just on a sidenote, he probably came out of the rumble looking better than everyone except Rey, HHH, Rhodes, DiBiase, Orton, Big Show, Kane and Taker, despite being there for about 2 minutes and the others being there for 15-20 minutes. The WWE need to realise cleaning house will do more for someone than 20 minutes without an elimination.

Yesterday's show was'nt too bad...even if Matt Hardy's "speech" went on a bit too long.

...and Matt's speech sounded a little re-hashed, very similar to one of Jericho's promo's from last year.

I wish we could see Kozlov vs the Missing Link. I wonder who would get up after they head butted each other? LOL

Matt's promo was excellent, and nothing like Owen's or Jericho's. He touched on some realities (Matt being called by the WWE about Jeff's whereabouts before Jeff is called is one), and that whilst he has done everything right by the WWE and the fans, Jeff has 2 Wellness violations, lost property, and acted rather irresponsibly. I think it was an excellent heel promo, particularly from Matt who is famous for botching his return promo against Edge and Lita. Matt will probably work far better as a heel than as a face as well, particularly without the V1 comedy elements.
