Bulldogs played their best game all year, they have played sh*t this year, beat some average teams and had one good game agaisnt Manly so they think they are good.

Having 5 of your regular 17 out does dent any team. Wouldnt cry to management because we do have a capable side, its more a mental thing, they just doze on and off during games.

Competing doesnt mean we are playing well, as i said they played well in patches.

Of course they were outplayed. The eels played for 80 and the dogs played for half an hour. I would be more worried about your mob, not much improvement left.

Our attack is really on fire at the moment, I'll give you that. But if you haven't noticed, our goal-line defence is as bad as yours - we conceded 4 tries last night and 6 against Manly.

All of them from 10m out.

That's due to a lack defensive intensity, which is very fixable (and why I still rate your team a Premiership threat if they can get everyone on the field), and once Cayless, Wagon and Cordoba are back it'll pick up for us immediately.

So as you can see we've got as much improvement in us as you do. And if we meet again this year it's anyone's game.

I beg to differ, i thought the eels defence was very good(improvement on the manly game). The dogs had to work for their trys while the bulldogs defence let in 3 or 4 very soft trys.

Anyway, the teams i would most love to play( if the dogs make it) are the Eagles, Eels.

The ones i would hate to play week 1 are Melbourne and the Warriors.

I beg to differ, i thought the eels defence was very good(improvement on the manly game). The dogs had to work for their trys while the bulldogs defence let in 3 or 4 very soft trys.

Phelps' scored two with some good ball movement but Sonny Bill's and Millard's tries were very soft.

As for our tries, Moimoi and Robinson ran straight through the middle but our other 4 tries were all scored by our centres and wingers (1 each). I wouldn't call any of the 4 soft - Inu and Ben Smith scored from kicks into the in-goal after wide passing brought the defence up, while Grothe's and Tahu's were scored in a similar way to Phelps' - out wide after stretching the defence.

So I count that as 2 soft tries each.
