Wow I had heard the state cup was of a low standard and I didn't think it would be that bad.

well it's not as bad as you may think, but it would be a higher standard if you include the NYC players.

btw, Maloney is definitely not twice the player Robo is, he may be a better attacking half but he's got nothing on Robo defensively, their kicking game are on par.

It could be a better comp if the NRL got their act together.

The NYC should be Under 23's and we need to merge the Bundy and NSW Cup together to establish a stronger Comp.

It hates me to say this, but do we really need a team at Mounties, Cabra and Wenty??? Why cant we merge those teams into one strong side?

Each of those teams still have Junior League sides and those in Bundy Cup could play A Grade in their local comp

The NRL would be losing money funding the Bundy comp and hence put some money into a stronger club.

Also in this new comp, teams like Adelaide and Perth could play in it and we could measure them in this comp and if they are up to it down the track then we can look at expansion in the NRL.

hence the reason why manly went to the qld cup and others are looking at it....more organised stronger competition.
