Regardless of whether the Eels get their man, long-suffering supporters have had enough. One of them, Delor Hermez, has arranged a rally at Parramatta Town Hall branded #ReclaimOurEels at 5pm on Saturday to protest against the way the club has been run.

"Parramatta is a club with a proud history. Great players, great leaders and overall a great club," Hermez posted on social media.

"We have won premierships, bred superstars and most importantly always had a strong fan base. However individuals have embedded themselves in positions within the club with no agenda other than self interest.

"A perfect example is what happened today with the Kieran Foran fiasco. If this is to continue, we will have no club, no superstars and ultimately no fan base. We need the club to stabilise itself or need to place people in positions to do so. As fans, we have had enough. As fans, we will get what we want through the power of revolution. As fans, we will #reclaimOurEels."

The movement is reminiscent of the one led by a core of disenfranchised Dragons supporters, who traded under the SaveOurSaints hashtag.

"We need to reclaim our great club and the time is now," Hermez said. "We want the club back in the hands of people who have its best interests at heart."

P.S. I don't know who Delor Hermez is, maybe someone here.

It's been tried in the past....

Generally a few turn up. The only real way to force change in any way shape or form at the moment is to become a member of the club and vote.

This will just give the media more fuel..... Not that they need anymore.

Absolutely not, this whole rally/protest idea is stupid, and accomplishes nothing but bringing more negative attention to Parramatta.

It will make me to happy to roll past Parra town hall and see one or two people there holding up a sign.

Real Eels supporters should be supporting the team, not protesting it.

I recognise that the events of this week seem pretty bad and chaotic (if you believe everything you've read in the papers), and even if you don't, it's not the best situation, but geez, give them 5 minutes to sort it out before forming the million man march...

This is just more proof we have one of the dumbest fan bases in the comp. Way to go, more negative press for the club, more people laughing at us.

Even those who do want the current board sacked must realise that this is a dumb idea...

The only people this helps is those trying to get their faces in front of cameras.

Please no one on here turn up there, if you have half a brain and are able, go to the game and support the team.

He was on 2SM yesterday afternoon. He knew everything, apparently. Corruption, vote rigging were 2 things he suggested.

Hughes was loving it. He stopped him short on a few things only for fear of getting their radio station in legal problems.

Only simple people would turn up to this thing, surely?

If there is one thing Parramatta aren't short of, it's simple people. :(

Yep, even though we are missing a few key players i'm confident of a win.

Hopefully a big crowd gets out there tomorrow night and gets behind the team.

I know the club will have past players on the field before the game as well.
If there is a game where the boys really get up for surely its this one. Surely all week BA has them itching to get out on the field tomorrow night.

will definitely be there. We may all be pissed off with what is happening off the field, but on it the team needs to know we are behind them
