Anyone that flies to Melbourne to watch us get hammered 40-0 is a devoted fan thats for sure

Yeah I'll be driving.

Just as well, because I bought my tickets on Friday afternoon, and didn't want to blow $14 on ticket insurance.

Anyway, I think we'll go alright. The Panthers was a good wakeup call for us. I reckon we'll play well against Souths; unfortunately I reckon Souths will play well too.

i have a feeling if kearney has an ace hidden up his sleeve he is saving it for this game im sure he would dearly love to get a win up against bellamy

That explains our last two poor weeks.
I can't wait to get there - even if it's to just put sh*t on Victorians.

I was hoping to get across for this game but with the death of my van I'm gone for another year :(

Oh H.

Surely you could walk, or get a $69 Virgin or Jetstar deal?

Maybe even give them the van for the flight?

i live in melbs too, i reckon you guys should grab a chicken parma and a few pints at the corner hotel rooftop beergarden before the game, it would be great to see the place covered in blue and gold before the game and then march on down to aami park like we own the place!!

i cant wait it will be the first regular season match in melbourne since 2007 and the new stadium is very impressive like a mini suncorp stadium, there is not a bad seat in the place

the rooftop beer garden looks like this:

So, is this going to be the general meeting place for a few quiet ales before the game on Sunday?

I'm keen for it.
MITS, Hellsy, boognish, Carson - anyone else heading this way? Pou Pou is obviously too highbrow to attend a fan drink together. ;-)

Yeah looks like you can walk to the venue and I could get there getting off the Train at Richmond Railway?

Awesome if that is the case, and look like less than 1K walk to the venue.

I would have paid to see the Rebels but they are out of town or a bye. That's all. I've seen enough crappy girly sh*tty AFL games before to do me a lifetime. I'd rather go and get food poisoning at some restaurant.

eels atmosphere, where we almost got melbourne when we werent expected to go near them

There will be many eels fans roaming the streets of melbourne pre and after the game, it will be a great sight down there :D

Just a tip on the AAMI ground..
It is terrific at night..With a two or three o'clock game, however, watch out for the sun getting in your eyes as it sets and goes down behind the grandstand roof..
AND the steps are very steep if you are in the top bracket of the stands (well, they are for an old bloke like me anyway)

I watched the Storm play Broncos last year at AAMI, the sun became unbearable.
I also watched the exhibition game between Aust and NZ on the official opening in pouring rain, at night, and the viewing was tremendous. Better than Suncorp, imo..It is a great Rugby League ground....
Suggest anyone going to take a wide brimmed hat if you are high in the stands.
