I just went back 7 pages looking for a relevant thread and couldn't find one so I thought I'd start something new.

It's only about 10 weeks away now.
Curious to know who was planning a Melbourne trip.
I'm going to book flights and accommodation soon.

I live in Melbourne so my accommodation's sorted.

It's a good excuse to get to a 'far away' game because I'm cheap and wouldn't otherwsie spend the money. During the three years I lived in Townsville the Eels played there once, and I had to work that night.

If you are one of those types who likes to stay annoymous, good luck to you.
If not, I'm sure I could rattle up a few loose coins to shout you a beer, and a decent haircut.

Yeah why not. I'll be with my teatotalling wife but she loves watching me drink with strangers.

No thanks - the last time I went was the semi final a few years ago. I know other teams cop it for thier 'feral' fans but really, the Storm take the cake. Besides a few who know the rules, most of them have no idea.

I'm always up for a trip to Melbourne.
Although no Swannies on that weekend could get an AFL fix as well.
So Suity,where are you staying?

Yep, I have the Hawks vs Richmond on the Saturday night at the G then our game on the Sunday., Bit of a hit and run, flying down Saturday Morning, and out Sunday night.

I also have a trip to the Aquarium with the relatives planed for the afternoon, and that means if I am seeing my Mothers relatives that my Mother is joining me on the trip as well.

I am most probably going to stay at the Holiday Inn near Spencer St Station (or Southern Cross as it is now known).
