You forget that they did not have the 2 years lead up time, anticipation, and marketing build up that the Titans had. They were formed 5 months before the season started and managed to make the GF without any major player concessions. For that alone they deserve the media attention.

As you also say the Titans played both St Merge and Brisbane at Suncorp to get big crowds. WSW on the other hand, sacrificed potential average-boosting crowds of 30k-40k at ANZ in their 2 derbies against Sydney FC because they had promised their supporters that they would play all their home games at Parra.

they sacrificed 30-40K crowds against Sydney FC did they? I suppose thats why their away derby games against FC at Allianz topped out at 26K

No the funding went only to training facilities and the women's team. The Wanderers are 100% FFA funded.

I see no difference between the Govt funding they received for their training ground and the funding Souths received for the Redfern upgrade, or the Govt-funded upgrades the Dragons got to Kogarah and WIN.

What happened to this Training complex? Well before the Wanderers

Who funds the other clubs W League teams?? When we Expand do we say to the Government We need money for the clubs NYC teams? Hell no.
The Difference is the venues you spoke of are all public land. If its free you can hire it out.
Belmore Stadium hosts plenty of NSW Cup games aside from Bulldogs training. Penrith had the Test and U20?s SOO. Redfern is a park when it?s not training

First Sydney Derby Officially a Sell-Out

Monday, 15 October 2012 12:00 AM

As Sydney prepares for the historical first ever Sydney Derby in the Hyundai A-League between the NRMA Insurance Western Sydney Wanderers and Sydney FC, the Wanderers advises that all public allocated tickets have now been sold, with the match officially sold out.

The rush for tickets forms part of what has been an incredibly entertaining and exciting start to the 2012/13 Hyundai A-League and the Wanderers will look to continue in that fashion when they take on Sydney FC at Parramatta Stadium this Saturday night.
A month is not f*cking 5 days you twat

The only remaining availability for the match is to purchase a Wanderers Foundation Membership, which will not only guarantee you entry to this historic Derby, but also the remainder of the Wanderers home matches in season 2012/13. As part of your package you will receive a range of exclusive added benefits.
Corporate packages are also still available and enquiries can be made by contacting the Wanderers.
Not even sold out! They shut up shop to flog memberships
Fans attending the match are reminded that your ticket also entitles you to free public transport to and from Parramatta Stadium on Saturday on all CityRail services (bounded by Dungog, Scone, Lithgow, Goulburn and Bomaderry); all regular Sydney Buses (STA) services; Liverpoool to Parramatta Tway services and Sydney Ferries.
And threw in free transport from Goulburn to Scone

And the crowd in this 20k+ seater?

First they go into the lol@souffs thread and try to defend the "honour" of their shit club.

Then a thread gets started about soccer and they come in here and try to defend the "honour" of soccer.
