Yes we do Eddie. We're one of the only clubs in the NRL that still owns it's own ground.

Not really, it is common place in England as the Leeds Rhinos and Leeds Carnegie rugby team are operated by the same company and play at the same ground same as Barnet FC and now the London Broncos sharing the same ground.

Yep.

Wigan Warriors (rugby league) share the same ground as Wigan Athletic the football club.
Hull KR and Hull FC share the same ground as Hull the Premier League football club.

Do we own Shark Park? Because if so that would surely be a massive income generator having another tenant? Not to mention the Government will then pay up for any ground improvements wanted by the FFA, cant see an issue anywhere with this!

Even better, have the Cronulla Sharks Soccer Club, that would surely be a world first, competing codes under 1 umbrella?
Olympic Sharks?

Give Cronulla Sutherland their own Football team it will work...Not some re-badged soccer team from another district.

Barcelona, Real Madrid and a few others are "sports clubs".

FC Barcelona has four professional sections (basketball, handball, roller hockey and futsal) and six amateur ones (athletics, rugby, volleyball, field hockey, ice hockey and figure skating).

That's the shit! Get in everything Sharkies!

Imagine Tim Cahill in a Sharks FC jersey next year! What a marketing tool for the club as a whole! He hits harder than Ayshford too.

The only club who ever owned their own ground , all others are / were either council or state government owned.
Peter Burns thoroughly deserves his name on the Leagues Club stand , he & the board in 67/68 had the foresight to buy the land which has got us out of financial strife many many times.

Serious question.Did we actually buy the land,or was it gifted by Sutherland council? I keep getting told it was the latter.

Do people really think we will have anything to do with a new soccer team other than renting our ground and possibly offices? We cant even run one club right. Best hope is a new team is based south of sydney and we get some games or all games at remondis.

Did we have anything to do with Olympic when they played here in 2001-2003?

I remember they had their office in the basement of the club at the time.

Confidential: A-League eyes Sutherland expansion, Sydney FC and South Korea share facilities

THE rumour mill suggests David Gallop wants a team in the Sutherland shire while Massimo Luongo has his own cheer squad.
It’s all in A-League Confidential.

Sutherland shire A-League team on the cards?
The rumour mill suggests David Gallop wants an A-League team in the Sutherland shire by 2017 to cash in on the country’s biggest junior nursery. Timmy Cahill just happens to own a waterfront home in the area. He will be 37 when the team is launched and no doubt capable of a ‘one-for-the-road’ season.

A general view of Remondis Stadium. Will an A-League team be using it one day?

They would be a poor cousin.
Unless, they were a franchise of a bigger club.
Or one of them red bull franchise things.

But they already have that in Melbourne. I'm not sure who else runs other clubs overseas so far it's only Manchester City.

Wanderers have the ethnic following and west Sydney.
Whiteys already follow the sky Blues.

It would be good to get use out of the place all year round. However I think it's more likely an eventual shift away from shark park and the place is used for development moneys.

They'd need to make in a Southern Sydney club, not just Sutherland Shire, share games between Shark Park, Campbelltown & Wollongong.
