I don't support NSW for picking Rabbiohs players, but it is insulting the way Rabbitohs are constantly snubbed. It may not even have anything to do with Rabbitohs and just a case of incompetence like the Farah snubs for years. There is no accountability for the selections ad probably the smartest thing Sticky did was ignore the selectors when choosing guys like Farah.

On Sutton, this whole process was insulting and poorly done. Bringing them in for two days and sending one home? Okay that's different but it's fine. But all the delays? And then announcing Sutton wrongly who was being congratulated by friends and family on twitter only to take it back? What an absolute slap in the face. Can you imagine being offered a job after an interview only to be told they dialled the wrong candidate? Insulting stuff.

This is the one time of year that a NSW supporter, regardless what team you follow, should unite together and cheer on the Blues, I am a Bulldogs supporter and hate every other team in the comp, but come SOO time, i couldn't care what club a player played for, and I would cheer them on regardless if they came from Parramatta, St George or whatever other club. If one of the bulldogs players was in the QLD side (just like Price and Hannant used to be) I would hope that they got smashed by the NSW forwards.

All these turncoat supporters can just f**k off. No wonder QLD'ers laugh at our support base when you have turncoats like some people in this forum here. It's time to bring pride back into the NSW jersey. It has started over the past few years with Ricky being put in charge and we just need to continue the momentum going forward

I'm sure you want to see Dragons players do well. If you have reps only in the NSW side or in both, it's easy to support NSW.

When you have 4 players in the QLD team and none playing for NSW, it becomes a tough selection.

Why would we support a team full of players that we hate on a weekly basis?

There are no Souths players in the NSW team so there is no buy in for Souths fans.

Absolutely hate the Bulldogs & their fans, but this is what its all about & I would be happy surrounded by 1000 Bulldogs fans in their jerseys if they all felt this way.

As was mentioned earlier, I felt exactly the same way when Boyd played for us, hated the merkin's guts when he wore the filthy maroon of the qld scum. I'm annoyed Reynolds, who offers pretty much nothing (except his poor defence and no discipline) over Sutton but whoever we pick I cheer them all on and always will. I agree it shouldn't have been neither of Sutton or J Reynolds, but Daley was never going to select another prop after he already had the other 16. The balance of the team based on the strategy he wants to deploy would've been compromised.

He selected all of Gallen, Watmough & Merrin who mainly play as small forwards in the middle third at their clubs. Despite shifting Gallen to prop, the middle is where Daley has selected them all to play on Wednesday night as part of his mobile strategy.

Furthermore, he's added Bird to this mobile middle rotation by moving him for the left side and selecting Hoffman in that position.

That only left room for two bigger props in Tamou & Fifita to complete the 6-man rotation that will go through the centre throughout the game. As you can see, it's predominantly smaller and mobile in it's composition.

There is no doubt that Gallen will not play 80 mins in this setup. What Daley is after from all 6 players is bang for buck. Maintain intensity and quality for the entire game.

Selecting another prop will have f**ked his game plan and would've restricted the amount of minutes some of these players would end up playing even further.

That's not to say Hoffman will not be rotated with any of the above. Bird and Watmough do plenty of left-side play at their clubs and one of them will shift here when Hoffman has a spell. And because Sutton is also predominantly a left-side player at Souths, he would've been surplus requirements for Daley when he already has players who can shift left.

The concern was right-side of the field where Lewis is starting. J Reynolds plays predominantly on the right-side at Canterbury and this is probably the deciding factor behind Daley's decision to go with him over Sutton. There aren't any other forwards in the squad who can consistently play on this side so I can see him interchanging with Lewis here, as well as Farah at acting half if required.
