Meh it wasn't a great Origin. To me it was just like an NRL game. But again the same old same old from NSW. No attacking plays putting the pressure on QLD. Went sideways a lot. QLD were playing a typical style, make good yards and put a pressured kick. I don't know what theyre going to do for the 2nd game.

Maybe it's just what I like but I found it enjoyable besides the loss. Low scoring games played between the 2 20 metre lines bore the shit out of me but low scoring games with plenty of ball inside the 20 like tonight where the defence is really good is more exciting than most games I watch

I think the urinator has played his last Origin game.

Hope so.

He's the most over-rated back-rower since...well, probably ever.

Never saw the fuss about the guy.

Perhaps one would like Bird in their corner for a no holds barred bar fight, but that's about it...

No wasn't a great origin but way better than an nrl game as far as defence goes imo

I think if nsws won this game with Qld attacking our line constantly and our defence continually repelling then we would all be raving about the game

Exactly.

The only thing going against Scott is his age.

Beau Scott is just a perfect Origin forward imo.

Can't argue with that however if Daley is talking about the future then the way bird tried to play and failed would have been executed much better by Cartwright I reckon

I think Bird is ok ... i think fifita was ok but stayed on too long ... i think farah is overrated ... i think josh jackson needs to learn to do more than an outside in run ... i think jenkovic tried his guts out ... i think there was no place for walker in that team

I'm stoked with the result - despite being a NSWelshman, I hate the Blues selectors.

I just thought both teams had no creativity in attack- though Maloney was great.

Honestly, Beau Scott is one of NSW's best forwards, and he's in great form.

But if Daley wanted to look to the future, and dropped Scott for Cartwright, then that's fair enough.

Instead, he drops a forward who embodies Origin, and replaces him with Greg Bird...wtf? Is Daley for real?

'Twas a snoozefest, tbh.

Spot on. Boring. No creativity at all. I've seen northern hemisphere rugby tests that have been more exciting than some of the origin games lately.

Was there a game plan? And I wouldn't be crowing if I was a Qld supporter either. They were crap as well

Yep selection was poor no doubt. Maloney was good there was one time there though he gives the ball to Fafita and we win the match but he dummied and went himself. I thought Reynolds kicking game was superior especially in the first half but dropped off in the 2nd. I suppose the scary part is that thurston and drink were poor tonight. Only 2 times I think thurston took the best option when given a choice, one led to their only try and the other sealed the match with a line drop out. Truth be told he probably contributed more than that but they are the only 2 that stick in my mind

Well we played better and lost so I suppose that gives them something to crow about.

I reckon you're spot on - Queensland defended well, but played poorly.

If they hit their straps, though...
