On a lighter note, here was a classic quote from Rabs Warren:
"Gagai followed by Mansour"

I had just stopped laughing at that from last night when I read this post and fell over doubled up in hysterics while walking down the street.

Tomorrow I'm writing to Penguin to see if they will consider immediately publishing it in an affordable paperback format in its "classics" series.

That Rabs might be nearly as funny as Bill Shorten or The Phelan Folly.

I'd go:

1. Tedesco
2. Mansour
3. Dugan
4. Walker
5. Ferguson (needs to have a good game, though)
6. Maloney
7. Wallace (yes, Wallace)
8. Woods
9. ??? Peats ???
10. Tamou (needs to have a good game, though)
11. Frizell
12. Graham
13. Jackson

14. Klemmer
15. Paulo (get him to switch)
16. Bird
17. Cartwright

I can understand, though, if Bird plays in the halves and there's no Wallace. I just like Wallace and think he has the composure and kicking game to be there.

Not entirely sure about Peats. Great defense but does he provide the service and the nip needed?

As I said at the time....if some poor bastard is paralysed by a spear tackle this year, the NRL deserve to have their arse sued off. Thaiday's tackle was appalling.

A leading spinal specialist believes Sam Thaiday should have been sent off and rubbed out for the remainder of the season for what he described as "among the most dangerous tackles I have ever seen", believing harsh deterrents are required to ensure another player doesn't suffer a catastrophic injury.

To be controversial:
I don't think Thaiday speared him on purpose. No hand between the legs, was just trying to stop his legs by lifting. But with Parker over the top the balance swung and dow went Gal.

Requires suspension of course! But careless not reckless imho.

Brad Fitler was pretty accurate in his comments wasn't he. You earn the right to get away with certain things.

In a club game that 4-6 weeks.

but

SOO 3 is in 3 weeks and its Sam Thaiday so you could put money on it being a 2 week suspension.

Agree it was careless. It looked bad and could have been worse if Parker hadnt have pulled gallen back I don't know if Parker did it deliberately but it looked like it to me and saved gallen from being in a much worse position. Of course that doesn't excuse thaidays from suspension.

I don't want to sound like Hindy 111, but I can see a potential core of players coming from Penrith for nsw's. Cartwright, Moylan and possibly peachy could possibly be a good combo for nsw already and if Nathan cleary continues to impress in a couple of years he may just be the half we have been looking for. Of course if Daley is still Around he will have wanted him to have won a premiership and played 6 tests to make sure he has big match experience
