The Roosters are finding out that money don't necessary buy a good team. Each year they have brought players from other clubs with big dollars sending a clear message to their juniors and existing players ... sorry, but you're just not worth it ... no wonder there's been internal bickering lately.

Contast the Roosters approach to the Broncos who always buy sparingly and concentrate on their junior recruitment and development. This year only Ennis and Ben Hannant came into the squad. Ben is a former Broncos. The previous year it was only Justin Hodges coming in.

When you don't show loyalty to existing players you soon reap what you sow.

Plenty of upcoming talent in the club. Just look at how well the flegg and reserve grade side are going. Plenty of future. And the club has had probably the worst injury toll of the NRL this season. Fans should show some faith in their coach as he has only been able to work with what he has had due to injury, suspension, and state of origin commitments......

2TB, i agree with your post to the point about ricky. i think he can work with a gelled side and bring out the best of them when the hard yakka has already been done but i'm not so sure he has what it takes to bring out the best in a struggling side and am not convinced that his team choices aren't at least 50% to blame with any internal friction.

but, what would i know. my paranoia levels are so high i believe my moving to australia is the reasons for the dismal performances over the past two seasons :lol:

its not a lack of faith. been through similar, seen worse and am sure before i'm six foot under that whatever is happening now will seem like a good season at some stage :lol:

and i'm certainly not denying the fact that here is a lot of young talent waiting in the wings. but have seen young talent not make the grade before. just hope more do than don't in this case. my question is, does ricky have the ability to nurture that talent?
