Honestly... Considering the email came in from a G Mail account and the name was Anony mous... I'm surprised that he replied in the very first case.

I work for a multi national company and can tell you for a fact that G Mail accounts aren't even routed to our spam system anymore. We've received so much spam from G Mail over the years that they are blocked on our servers.

Why did the first one get through and not the next 2? Were they from different accounts?

Fair enough, your view is that he did everything he could in the circumstances to protect the SSFC brand. In your view, he earned his $150k plus salary.

My view, albeit that I am NOT a SSFC shareholder, differs and I would hold him to a higher standard given that he did receive the first email.

I acknowledge that many company ‘SPAM’ filters are more aggressive and I have also been frustrated by this in my professional life having overlooked valid client emails.

For instance, certain billionaires use gmail. A more sophisticated approach to SPAM is required.

I have no doubt she is an attention seeking vindictive so and so. My issue is in the nrl being consistent if proven he stuffed up. I’ve never stated he should go now. I’m just cynical they will handle consistently.

SSFC chose to go to the media when dealing with their dispute with North Sydney. Surely they can’t cry foul that the tactic has been used against them. Instead, I suspect SSFC recognise that the media is a common route in many disputes of this nature.

I think each of the above are the common themes in this thread. Nobody is suggesting that the complainant is beyond reproach or Mr Pearce for that matter.

Absolutely. The players should be able to expect that their employer would handle the issue much more capably. Sam’s marriage is now suffering because of the manner in which SSFC handled it. That’s unacceptable notwithstanding any mistakes he may have made.

Find a group of 20-somethings (any gender) and ask if they've had any intimate encounters on social media the past 5 months. If you can get them to look up from their phone long enough to acknowledge you, majority of hands will be raised - some to ask what "intimate" means obviously.

Don’t like this whole back and forth with easts and Souths supporters, it the final game at a stadium which both have had as a home ground, both are playing for a grand final birth, and yet both sets of supporters would prefer to watch a watered down version without key players, the hate makes the rivalry what it is, I honestly don’t believe supporters would want the other team to not be in the NRL, in the end the game would become as boring as Auckland.
