Which makes their OTT punishment for Bulldogs even more stupid
The NRL is now forced to do the same thing to Souths, they set the ridiculous precedent
Bulldogs were caught by a peeping tom working for News Ltd, no member of the public complained
Souths were caught by a chick who complained to the club several times
This is what happens when you give in to trial by media
Paul Kent I think is normally on Triple M on Saturday afternoons... what odds he will twist it into a nothing story like Ponga and the All Blacks?
How wrong are we, reckons he needs to be stood down immediately and this is worse than the Pearce Australia Day drama.
Yeah an unsolicited dick pic is worse than unwanted advanced plus simulated beastiality and pissing all over yourself. /sAnd he is right.
Tallis reckons no laws were broken so all good. He failed to mention which laws Pearce broke.

Plus Pearce had a history of incidents
Regardless how much you guys beg and moan for immediate action - this is quite unlikely to be sorted before the end of the season. Especially because of the “he said”, “she said” nature of it and the fact no laws have been broken which might escalate things
The Pearce incident wasn’t sorted out for 6 weeks. And I wouldn’t be impressed if punishments are rapidly handed out while we’ve got another team in the finals with salary cap breaches being investigated

Sending a dick pic is not illegal, forgiving the fact we have no clue how unsolicited it actually was. Continued harassment is where it gets into the grey area but it seems like it was cut quite short. And unfortunately that sort of behaviour is quite common amongst young men. You're greatly over stating the Pearce incident, beastiality?
Part of the reason it took 6 weeks to go over Pearse's punishment was due to it being the off season and him shipping off overseas. If it happened during the season I have no doubt he would have stood down immediently. It should also be noted that no one, not a single person, complained about Pearces actions.
. I've said earlier in the thread I don't trust this chicks motives however it's not really the point. Souths could have nipped this in the bud, however they chose to ignore it and now it's reared its head at the worst possible time. *Removed*
Due to it being the finals, Souths and such a high profile player I have no doubts the NRL will 'put a pin in it,' until after the season then on a garbage day give him some bullshit 1 week penalty, to be served for the Charity Shield.
You need to remember that this happened not long after false accusations were levelled at Ben Teo, with nothing short of a witch hunt from the Daily Telegraph. The club had every reason to walk on egg shells with regards to the issue until it was resolved in the courtsAs Connor Mcgregor would say.
I find it amusing all this hype and suspense over what action Souths will take over some harassing nude photos sent to a women's phone that she didn't want.
Souths already have form and precedence in this area, in 2014 during the middle of the season Kirisome Auva'a plead guilty to bashing his ex-misses. Yet he was allowed to play out the season and played in the Grand Final.

Souths will do nuttin.
Russell Crowe said he got rid of the cheerleaders because it made people feel uncomfortable.... it's an interesting statement when you look at their history towards women since. Who felt uncomfortable?
Bring on Saturday night. Souths will do nuttin.

Pissing on yourself and somebodies couch in a drunken stupor and pretending to f**k somebodies dog after they turn you down is not common.
I have a bigger issue that Sam did this to his wife, but that’s for him to solve in his personal life
No. No its not. But when you got an axe like you have, you sure do want to show it off.We will never know if pearce pissed on that couch or not. He claims it was water. f**ked if i know if it was but it can't be proven either way. If it was piss he clearly did it whilst passed out and i am sure he would pay for a new couch.
The dog stuff was greatly greatly exaggerated, we all know that.
You can twist it all you want but what sam is accused of doing is worse than Pearce. In the fair dinkum stakes i don't necessarily believe sam should miss game time but they absolutely have to suspend him after what they did to pearce.
I doubt they will though.
Let's say that you have an issue with an NRL club. There was an incident a few months ago and one or more players offended you, made you feel uncomfortable and violated. So what do you do about it?
Well, obviously you immediately set up an anonymous email account, send a message to the club, don't give any personal information about yourself, don't mention any names of the players involved, give scarce details and wait for a response. I can't see why this wouldn't work!
You don't receive a response, so you send a couple of follow up emails..... still no reply.
Okay, so what to do now? It appears your only option is to wait for 3 or 4 months and do NOTHING, even though you are still traumatised by some things that you screen captured that day... and then just 2 days before that team is involved in a massive sudden death semi-final game, you guessed it, contact that fine publication The Daily Telecrap and tell your story! Of course that would be a completely normal thing to do given the circumstances.
Oh, but I hear you say, wouldn't a more logical and sensible course of action been to have rang the club directly not long after the alleged incident and explain who you are, the nature of your complaint, and ask why your emails weren't answered? Maybe contact the head office of the NRL and demand action? Hell, this is a very serious matter so why not file a formal complaint with the Police?
No, that's ridiculous! Everyone knows that a tabloid newspaper that loves a sensationalised story would be the appropriate course of action! Think about it man, it's so obvious! This is what any rational thinking intelligent person would do. The timing of the complaint, and making it public knowledge is just a pure coincidence.
Disclaimer: Not condoning the alleged inappropriate behaviour of the players involved, I am sure the Integrity Commission will deal with those individuals in due course, just have a little question mark over the choice of timing and motives behind going to the press.
