Pretty sure ANZ is being used for Stage 1.
Showgrounds is stage 2.

But never had an issue with water or heat at the last 2 soundwaves.

Cheers, found it on fasterlouder. Sux that Cypress Hill clash with Slayer but I'll be camped at stage 1 from either 4:30 or 5:30 (depending which of those 2 I decide to see).

In other news, Tool have just announced a tour in April, tickets on sale next week.

f**king f**k.. Tool!!!

About time too!!

A live concert will suffice..

For a little bit at least..

10,000 days was released a while ago though.. Hopefully it's very early 2014.

I love tool. There is just something about their style that makes them so unique. It's like they have unlocked some kind of musical secret. I know of some musical minded people that reckon tools style is quite hard to play as it differs from the beat or whatever of your traditional rock/metal style.

Melbourne timetable is up https://fbcdn-sphotos-h-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-frc1/858196_10151668848972262_1561697254_o.jpg

This is probably what my day will look like

11:45 - 12:00 Northlane
12:00 - 12:30 The Blackout
12:30 - 1:15 The Lawrence Arms
2:00 - 2:20 The Vandals
2:20 - 3:00 Gallows
3:20 - 3:40 Confession
3:40 - 4:15 Flogging Molly
4:15 - 5:00 Sum 41
5:20 - 6:00 Killswitch Engage
6:00 - 6:30 Blink 182
6:30 - 7:00 Sick Of It All
7:45 - 10:00 Metallica

Hopefully 45 minutes will be enough time to find a place somewhere on the grass for Metallica, who knows though people will be camping out all day. Might just go from Blink to Metallica depending on how crowded it's getting. Sucks that they're clashing with The Offspring, should've grabbed a sideshow ticket before they sold out. Doubt I'd be able to get out of the Metallica crowd to catch the last 15 minutes but I'll give it a shot.

Good to see FLogging Molly get one of the main stages rather than just getting pigeonholed with the "punk" bands. Those metalheads won't know what him em when Dave King & Co. start ripping shit up!

Anyone have any Ideas on who the special Guest is? I notice melbourne doesnt have it.. I believe axewound has been ruled out..

I am going to go out on a limb here and say its a local act who initially said no when AJ asked them to perform, but now has nothing on their schedule so is playing.. I am going to say I killed the prom queen or Parkway drive..

Would be pissed if Sydney get Parkway/Prom Queen and we don't

Prepare yourself for a lot of "F*CK OFF BRING ON METALLICA WOOOOOO" all day, to every band. On every stage.

I heard the interview on Triple J and I thought he said it was being released in conjunction with the April tour.

I hope you're right but this article suggests otherwise:

http://musicfeeds.com.au/news/tool-announce-australian-tour-2013/

Tool will take time out from recording their fifth studio album to make the trip Down Under. The new album now has a 2014 expected release day after Keenan recently ruled out the album would be released this year.

No Travis Barker for Blink.... Just made my decision whether to catch Blink, or watch the first bit of Metallica

Considering Dave King was lead singer of one of the best metal bands from the 80s I'm sure there'll be a few metalheads keen to see him this time around. Me included, and I dig Molly.

That would be bloody right. I only just bought a ticket to the Blink sideshow a week ago. Oh well hopefully they will still go alright and if not there is always the Vandals.

They have the drummer, which I've seen twice (with Bad Religion and Tenacious D) and he's good
