Not sure if we will ever see Lagwagon back in aus... maybe once more.

Flatlines are the best young band in the punk world!!! they were awesome when i saw them play with No Fun At All

metal fans r usually the ones who do get a bit ripped off with this festival....but id say expect soundwave 2012 to be a metal festival.

SOAD already being rumoured as headliner

I dunno about everyone else, but imo Soundwave 2011 had an excellent balance of metal/metalcore/hardcore/punk. Something for everyone.

that is very very true. at least the scene kids were kept away from alot of the other stages as they had a dedicated stage for them in stage 6 haha

i still think this is a good lineup...little bit for everyone again thats for sure

u got metal
punk
hardcore
pop punk
rock

i just hope he doesnt end up doing it like BDO and start introducing the chemical brothers and presets type of bands haha

Exactly that's why I like it. I can go to each by the band usually they will be decent. If it went that way I wouldn't always attend ATM I can go if I like a min of 4 bands. As the other stages somewhere will have a good band to watch BDO needs 10 before I will go.

I think a lot people who haven't been to SW tend to want like 13-15 bands that they want to see before they'll buy a ticket, when realistically the event is so packed that you more than likely will only be able to squeeze like 8-10 in at a stretch. If you work out the dollar value of the ticket compared to what you'd pay to see the bands individually, even if you only want to see 5-6 bands it's still worth the money

NST spoilt us with their two stages, perfect timing and reasonable crowds though.

Especialy alot of the bands would probably command a ticket price of 50 - 90 bucks for a headline show

I think you would like Face to Face.
Band i've never got around to listening to properly, should probably check them out

re Lagwagon, they seemed to have wound down a fair bit havent they? Plus they couldnt get one of their guitarists in the country last time

Yeah Flip had a drug charge or some bullshit. Joey is too busy f**king around with his solo shit, which is mostly crap

I didn't even know Street Dogs were on the lineup until this morning lol.

Im feeling better about it now, I would pay for a ticket to see:

Bad Religion
Face to Face
Thursday
Story Of The Year
Funeral For a Friend
Yellowcard
Street Dogs
Every Time I Die

and I like the sound of Make Do and Mend and Young Guns as well as some of the smoking hot girls in bands like In This Moment and that band with Taylor Momsen in it and the Versa Emerge and We are In the crowd bitches are alright too.

as well as the theatrics of Van Halen, Alice Cooper and Steel Panther and I think its gonna be a great event!

Jesse the bass player left last year and Chris Rest is now playing guitar with NUFAN and lagwagon at the same time. Joe Raposo from RKL is playing bass now. Flip is in another new band too.
But they played Germany mid last year so their is still hope that they could come back.
