Just found about this festival yesterday - the Melbourne show is on my birthday (turning 30 on the 30th!)

Can't think of a better way to spend my birthday than watching Van Halen, Alice Cooper, Alter Bridge, Machine Head and all the bands the cool kids are into these days, followed up by witnessing the Warriors finally winning their maiden premiership live a couple of days later!

Better start saving!!

Yeah i know. I was just pissed off with the lineup

I loved AJS SUMMATIOn of them; should be bigger than they are but aren't. Rate them more than the Murphys and coming from me that's really saying something!

Bet you anything that Machine Head & Halen will clash at some point.....
Stage 4 looks mostly pretty mad, but on the whole this lineup lacks real depth & it seems like a few oldies to attract a wider age group were just tacked on late in the peace...
Only vaguely considering it at this stage.....

Soundwave drip feeds their lineup starting with the smaller bands first so that those bands get more exposure before the bigger bands are announced and get recognition themselves.

Van Halen were booked from the start just not released till later

i know 3 of the bands playing and let me tell u it kinda overshadows van halen as headliner imo

imo these 3 bands will pack it out tbh

VH draw in an 'older' crowd these bands will pull in wider genre crowds

i think alot of people between the ages of 22-27 will be happy mainly because of when these bands really took off
