Its actually 7. He had 6 last season alone and then another one now in his return game.

7 concussions in only 25 games of footy. Clearly there is something that needs to be addressed given how often he brains himself.

A candidate for second impact syndrome if there ever was one. If he suffered SIS souths and the nrl would suffer financially ( massively ) and the PR fallout would be immensely damaging.

When souths submitted that team, someone from the nrl should have rung them and yelled at them for an hr or so and then get them to change the team.

If he plays there is a decent chance of something horrific happening.

I'd wager its quite important to souths to keep them out of the side as well given the experimental surgery they got for Turner just to get him back on the field earlier, on top of rushing him back from a clear concussion without any time off and backing up on a short turnaround.

A person suffering concussions that regularly is actually quite a concern. The more he gets the easier he is to concuss. He is going to get to the point where a stiff breeze will send him off to lala land. Maybe Souths should consider that if nothing else.

I would've expected Maguire to step in by now and not select the kid. Just based on the way he came out of that tackle last week and forgetting the previous 6 concussions, there's no way I'd want him playing this week.

He'd be more of a liability than any of those nuffies though. They'll do some shit things but they're less likely to go to sleep 3mins into their first stint and reduce the side to 16 for the night.

I'm waiting to see how Liam Fulton turns out. Hopefully he isn't a dribbling wreck by 50. Perhaps he should have a sit down with Turner and paint it in real terms to him. Being a pup and only just starting his career I can understand his reluctance to want to give it away.

Actually no I am not.... I got the figure from an article in October last year stating he had 6 concussions last year plus this latest one.

So its actually 8 concussions in 26 games then. Horrendous.

He is potentially one knock away from having a very serious permanent injury. If Souths don't step in and get him to call it a day, the NRL should.

Some times people need to be protected from themselves, and unfortunately K.Turner is one of them. I think the concussions are a much bigger issue then his neck at the moment.

I think Souths and the NRL have made it Kyle's choice. In reality it IS his career and he can do what he wants, although they have intervened and gotten specialists and advice from former players etc etc.

Do I want to see him play on? Of course I do, he's a kid who's worked his ass off to get where he is and he should keep trying until it becomes a reality that he can't.

Do I think he should play on? I'm not too sure but I know he 100% needs to wear headgear if he is to play. I don't think he ever got a concussion wearing them but I could be wrong so correct me. If things are done right this could work out for him, but if he gets another few bad concussions he should seriously consider hanging up the boots.
