He passed the test, the NRL found that we did it by the book.
The rules have changed, we had 2 not come back last week.
Too hard to understand for you?

I see Farrah copped a head knock last week, comes off and does the test, gets some tape on his head and runs back out  Probably used magic spray on his fat moron noggin too.

You are kidding comparing Farah who got up and walked off unaided and never looked dazed,to Reynolds who couldn't even stand up.
Souths have done it on more than one occassion this year alone, and more than one occassion in one game this year, the new rules will stop this happening.

Rubbish.

The NRL found we did the right thing.

I take their findings over your biased views against our club.

don't always take that as gospel..

didn't the NRL also initially claim there was no incident in Arizona as well?

plus, lets not rule out the fact the NRL has a vested interest in these results, as it forms part of the future head trauma cases as well.. If the NFL is any example, you can expect the NRL to be a joint defendant in any cases brought by former players..

not sure why you'd try deflect the seriousness of this matter by trying to pin something on farrar over a gash to the ear..

Not at all, players who are concussed stay off now.

We did the same Scat test as every other club, including yours, that was proved by the NRL.

We had two off last week, and have had others in the past do the same like GI.

the word 'now' is an interesting qualifier that you have used...

when did 'now' start, exactly?

Greg bird laying on the ground clutching his head and screamng in pain after a sandow fly swat. Should the Titans dr have took him off for a concussion test or did the dr know he had taken a dive like everyone else laughing at him?

i used to think you were one of the more educated, rational souths fans..

Just because I don't agree with you or get into point scoring because of a word I used?

Please, let's call it for what it is, you just want to rip into us at any opportunity. Right or wrong.

Has been that way for years, which is fine as we are on a forum, but don't try and feign otherwise.

hardly.

unfortunately you're only looking for any possible answer that validates the dangerous choices your club is making..

my position has nothing to do with souffs, more around others having healthy brains in the future (i have a vested interest in neuroscience and brain injury, the reasons of which are none of your business, but others here will know of..) so I'd be harping on just as much if it was another club..

pull your head out of your bum and realise there is more importance to a discussion than the colours on your flag..

unfortunately your comment simply puts you in the same box as those saying 'oh, there's nothing wrong with our practices, they're just picking on us because we are souths'..

but hey, as more of the ramifications of head injuries come to light in future years, be sure to think back to this thread..

Bump

Welcome back Kyle, you'll be fine.

He is a real concern. If it was me I would seriously be considering retirement. Repeated head knocks, almost becoming a paraplegic. The guy has no luck and the concussions have become a very concerning pattern

I don't know if taking a year or two out of the game could help but if it could then he should consider it

i was surprised to see him named for friday night's game tbh, although there are rumours that he won't be playing. i hate to say it but maybe he should retire from playing rugby league. he is getting concussed too often. wasn't there a rule where if you got concussed you couldn't play the next week??? maybe that rule is no more. if he gets concussed again before the finals then that might be it, or atleast have a year or 2 break from playing. he is only 23

Well said, nice that we can all come up with a decent post now and again

If he plays this weekend, Souths staff are f**king kidding themselves.

Turner's welfare must come first, irrespective of whether he wants to play or not.

Even if he didn't end up playing, naming him is a f**king horrendous message to send.

This has nothing to do with Souths, I was of the opinion Ryan Hoffman needed a break this year as well, and he's not had half the head knocks Turner has.

But as long as the NRL sticks to its shut the gate after the horse has bolted policy on the game, we'll have to basically wait until Kyle is institutionalised and can't tie his own shoelaces.

6th concussion in 18 months, play 5 days later. I don't see a problem here?

He needs to retire asap. The horror stories that are coming out from retired players in the NFL who've suffered multiple concussions should serve as a huge warning. The long term effects are very, very serious.
