Souths Game Talking Points

Of the last 6 games of the regular season, this one scares me the most…

Things to watch out for:

1. The obvious one: Lattrell… Ramien vs. Lattrell should be a beauty…. However, I’m thinking he’ll attack Talakai’s edge…

2. Limiting Souths’ offloads - this is where Finucane excels, and the NRL is going to ensure that we don’t have him.

3. Finding the balance between structured and unstructured play. Hynes and Moyza like unstructured… But we need a bit more of the standard 7 play - when Hynes kicks early and sets them back on their heels, that is huge.

4. Stopping Cam Murray’s fast PTB’s

Any other thoughts?

This might put the mocker on us so for that I'm sorry but Souths have beaten a very crap Storm team and they only beat the Dogs in the dying minutes.

The fact they only beat the Storm by 12 points suggests to me they're going to have a much harder time trying to score points against us. That Storm defence on the edges was terrible, was like they never played together. No wonder they're trying to get loan players off everyone.

Latrell is still looking pretty unfit, was giving the ball to his wingers for the kick returns and couldn't get to some 40/20s - that can be exploited.

If Dale plays and we play like we did against the Panthers its game over for Souths, but if Dale doesn't play and we drop off like we seem to do in between good performances then Bunnies are in this.

Souths have only lost one in the past seven weeks and in the last three have beaten knights with 8 players missing, the Dogs with four players missing and last week they only had Campbell Graham missing. I think the fact they are near full strength with the addition of cook and Murray is a worry for all teams in the next month. Souths left side attack with have a glut of opportunities against Talakai and Mulitalo who second guess each other in defence.
