The most esteemed award in Rugby League...
Good afternoon everyone and welcome to the 'Souths LU Forum Player of the Year - 2018' awards. This year's awards are brought to you by Travitoh (cheers for all your work up to round 15) and Curns13.
I will be posting results for each quarter of the season, plus finals, from Tuesday to Friday, but I thought it might be good to start with a survey about who everyone thinks is our team's MVP. Follow the link below and complete the survey and we'll see whether our overall season thoughts match the week by week scores of our contributors. Get voting.

3rd place - Damien Cook (7 points)
Honourable Mentions:
Cody Walker (3)
Dane Gagai (3)
Richie Kennar (2)
Alex Johnston (2)
Tom Burgess (2)
Robert Jennings (1)
George Burgess (1)
I think it was a remarkable start by both Cookie and Cam. Cookie really showed all the doubters early that he was the hooker and Cam, who’d only played 9 NRL games, showed that he was the real deal and a future star.Looking good so far mate.
Expecting Cook to have a bit of a surge at the halfway point.

Cam Murray was out standing all year
Yeah I’d rather 80 minutes of Murray than 55. The kid is a stud.*WARNING - Repetitive rant*
After 9 rounds George was deemed deserving of a starting spot at the expense of Murray.
Obviously we're all watching from the stands and our lounges unlike those who make the decisions but Murray was miles ahead as judged by the fans on this forum and while a small sample, I'd be surprised if there was a major swing of opinion across a larger number of supporters.
It tells a story and while I'm not claiming it cost Souths the season, there were games that could've been a different story with the impact George can bring from the bench.
AJ 4th is an interesting one too for a bloke who the knives are out for on these pages...
