how u no that voss called the game???

On the highlights on Channel 9 news, they showed some tries and you could hear Vossy's voice calling the plays.
Channel 9 were definitely over there calling the match.

A fair few players fighting for key positions this season. Most notably a Front Row partner for Asotasi and one of the halves positions to partner Wing. A decent trial of our Premier League/Fringe First Graders. The key here was our little men destroying the big men late in the game around the ruck- the exact plan JT should use first round against the Roosters.

Just remember it was a trial, you wont have oppositions putting on reserve graders and taking their foot off the pedal in the 2nd spell once the comp starts

That's true but we never fielded our best players to begin with. The first half was an accurate score line of the Super League champs playing an NRL Premier League side. You have to agree adding Roy Asotasi, David Kidwell, Craig Wing, David Fa'alogo, Nigel Vagana, Dean Widders and Jeremy Smith to the side would have changed the first half result.

i agree trails mean very little...
roosters won all ther trials last year...
won most in 06 and all trials in 05...

BUT... souths turned it on in the second half...
so kudos when its due souths...

I agree- we lost all last years trial and had a good season. Trials are like sparring in Boxing- if you want to go in there to win and not learn, you won't improve.

because Souths didnt have their star players playing and they did and they had played most of the match. he was trying to down play the comeback in the second half. Leeds didnt take the foot off the pedal, we just out played them in the second half and bombed plenty of tries in the first half. We played reserve grade players for the whole match, besides Sutton and Stuart the only first graders. Luke and Paea had only played a handful of games and just kids. Most of the team were kids.
No injuries came from the game. great hit out for our first pre season match, over 12500 fans turned up, crowd loved it.
Great game and great day.

And all I can do is still agree with insaneink.

Read into it what you want, all fans always do...Be grateful you came thru unscathed.

Sounds simple to me. Short and to the point.

Youre fighting yourself again.

i listened to the game live, and they made interchanges in the second half, players had rests but than they came back on again.
Souths were interchanging players for the whole match also.
