Souths v Manly spoiler

Most players stay down some of the time, Inglis stays down all the time. That is the big difference. Considering we have post match review, why does the game stop and look at this stuff? Unless it is something completely disgraceful (ear bite, eye gouge, squirrel grip, etc), and the ref misses it, we should play on and let the it be sorted out after the game.

With Inglis, I hope it costs him in the big games. The boy who cried wolf style. He is a merkin and I really do hope he costs Souths their season.

But the sad thing is, Tooves is right in everything he said, and no one will be held accountable for this one sided refereeing performance.

Manly hasn't won a game against the top 4 all year and yet somehow the answer is always they keep getting robbed. That must be it. It can't be that they're not quite as good as the rest of the top 4.

First time I've ever agreed with you. Ever.

For a player as big and strong as GI, he does have a habit of staying down. That slap, was a horror, yet he got a penalty. Case of the boy who cried wolf. When he went down with a knee concern, he looked in trouble. I knew it was crap. Wanted sympathy, and Souths fans to shit themselves.
As good a player as Inglis is, he has a lot of rubbish in his game

There was no conclusive evidence that Matai grounded the ball OVER the line, so the referees completed their job correctly.Matai didn't look overly disappointed after the box decision and Toovey embarrassingly let's off steam AGAIN after being frustrated that his team outplayed Souths, but couldn't put them away.
IMO, Toovey is setting a bad example for his players as he is making it look like the result came down to the officials decision and not his players performance on the field which can have them thinking that they did their job.
Clearly they didn't.

What a sad display from Toovey last night; apparently a so called 'professional'.

The bad calls and penalty count is not the point. His display was a blight on Manly and the code. Hope he cops a fine.

Just a contrast to Toovey, when we played Cronulla at Shark Park we had an 11-3 penalty count against us.

Maguire did not whinge one bit when baited by the MMM commentators. He said it reflected a disciplinary problem that needed to be rectified.

Toovey is a moron and the sea eagles won't be a threat to the other top 3 because of his attitude.

So every penalty count has to be balanced between the 2 teams does it? It's idiots like Toovey that put pressure on refs to even out the penalty count late in games to make it look "fair" that's ruining it. Manly hold down and wrestle worse than most teams, that's why they got penalised.

Geoff Toovey = protected faeces.

His rants bring the game in to disrepute.

He should be banned for 4 weeks from all NRL grounds and from the coaching box.

Best quote of the night was a youngish Manly supporter, after the first try, telling his dozen or so Souths mates:

"here comes the half century".

A few dud calls cost them the match. Souths were ominous, on the back of a string of penalties.
Nothing I saw tonight, has changed my opinion. Souths will not win the premiership. They will finish 2nd, play Melbourne, get rolled, and will panic.
Everything revolves around GI. Without him, they have very little in attack, apart from a bomb.
Next week, if they are serious contenders, they should put 40 on the hapless bulldogs .
They must be like Manly and Brett Stewart, then.

Geoff Toovey was entitled to blow up, his team were robbed. Matai scores, they win by 20
Well, maybe. But Matai didnt get the ball down. So pretty irrelevant.

The more disciplined, better defensive side won the game
