I couldnt be bothered to read through the souths bashing but this is exactly what wigan did the last few years. they had one captain every week i think and o'laughlin was the gf captain. Experience, former origin and test player.
You don't need to have time up at one club to have leadership skills.

Coaches tend to do lots of things with great success at previous clubs before coming to Souths. Then they start doing lots of things with no success.
