Any Saints supporter who boos jamie is a bum!

Agree, but don't think many will ,it's his reaction towards the fans which would more of interest.
Just want to see a good game from our team tbh, don't care much for how Soward performs.

Our edge forwards should be up in the face of Soward and Walsh all night if we are to have any chance of beating the Panthers.

Good to know you watch Rugby League champ.

Walsh is playing for St Helens at present.

I hate it when supporters boo former players. Especially those that helped deliver a premiership

Agree totally. Let's support the team rather than bag the opponents. Had a chat to Jamie in London, at the Walkabout. There for Origin 3. Said that fans wanted to see him off properly at the end of the season to acknowledge what he did for us. He was genuinely appreciative.

Would rather Widdop or Marshall than Soward any day. Soward was great but high maintenance. Needed a player next to him so he can get out of tackling which blunted the attack out wide hence why there were alot of closer games and backrowers like Scott or Prior playing in the centres.

I hope Saints win but I would also like Soward to have a good game as he deserved a good sendoff rather than the one he NEVER got wearing the red V. It was a bad ending to his Red V career.

I think its something rife throughout the NRL tbh.
Its applies to players, club officials ex players etc.
Dont like the AFL, but they get this right.

When an immortal passed away, I remember Paul Kent saying it was abysmall that all games didnt honour the passing of a "game" legend.

At the same time, dont know his name, but an influential coach / player passed away in Melbourne, and they they put on a memorial for all to see. No expense spared.

As a code, we have the greatest spectacle, but can learn a heap from the AFL.

The NRL is useless. It's now being run by some wanker from overseas who has never played the game let alone watched it on TV before he got the top job

But you get my point RW.
Even prior to this guy , we are so far behind pro sports when recognising / remembering / those who have played roles be it by clubs or the NRL overall.

And you honestly think Marshall is less of a liability in defense? There a whole bunch of things one could argue why Benji is or isn't a better fit. Defensive strength over Soward isn't one of them.

Our games under Bennett were closer because our gameplan was throw everything into defense and break down teams, and capitalize late in the game. It played to our strengths, we had a very strong, enforcer type forward pack with the likes of Scott, Smith, Costigan and Weyman coupled with whilst a talented backline, no real gamebreaker, just a cohesive unit. It had nothing to do with Soward having a 'bodyguard'.

I also appreciate Soward's contribution to our great team....especially 2010, but he has always been, supposedly, a whiny, sulking, spoiled bitch/brat. 2013 was proof enough for me to realize that was fact. And after seeing what he offered to the team, performance wise, in 2012 and 2013.....cutting him loose was the right decision. Let him bitch and moan and sulk somewhere else, when things aren't going his way.

He is no longer a part of my loved team.....he can EAD, as far as I am concerned.
