Which is what the sponsor hunt is turning in to anyway. It is getting towards the end of December, we are just 3 months away from the start of the season, have known the previous sponsor(s) wasn't(weren't) continuing and still there is no inkling of a likely deal. It's only that Host Plus had an option they could exercise that has given them the space on all the training gear for only a small additional outlay.

It would be a poor choice of sponsor IMO given the alienation more importantly at a local level with the Penrith Press and Western Weekender. The 3 local rags have always held a sponsorship deal and its been about balance - not favouring one over the other. As for SMH taking more of an interest, hahaha... too much Christmas cheer for you, indeed tis is why it is called the silly season.

A new sponsor either needs to have a strong connection in the area, bit more importantly needs to be recognised outside of the area. Buying media space through a sponsorship deal treats us all like fools if there is no balance.

Tooheys New will be on the back of the shorts, Hosts Plus will remain at the front of the shorts, Tony Ferguson will remain as the lower back sponsor and Abcoe will remain as the membership sponsor. The major sponsor, sleeve sponsor and the Toyota Cup major sponsor are vacant at this stage.
