Manikato - Platelet will swoop late on what looks like a solid tempo. Proven group 1 performer at ridiculous odds.

Cox Plate - Fawkner. Is really flying and this race will suit him to a tee. Did it easily last start and can't see any of them turning the tables as he'll be a lot fitter 3rd up. Gets a great run from the draw. Big watch on Adelaide too. Obrien wouldn't come all this way unless he was trying to make another expensive coolmoore stallion. Has great European/us form and could be one out of the box. Throw in sacred falls for third. Dunno about a fast run 2040 but if it sticks, will be zooming home at the end.

Love Platelet as much as the next person but he is not up to Buffering/Rupee/Terravista level. Can see him running a nice 4th running home solid with Rebel Dane and Bounding.

Yummy $50 the win on Adelaide at $8.50 fixed odds.

Why bring a horse to Australia for one start without a reason? Adelaide had neon lights all over it....BACK ME!!!

Well played fellas! I have a rule of never backing horses first time at the Valley... Been stung to many times in the past, Adelaide bucked that trend in a big way though.

That was dominant from last to first covered more ground than any other horse and was going away from them.

Stays in Aus to be trained by Waller, being set for the QE in the Autumn should be interesting.

This race had next year's Cox plate winner in it,brilliant run by Sweynesse.

One of many good runs. Silent achiever, fore teller, side glance, happy trails, the cleaner all ran out of their skin.

Surely the mole has to be banned from Melbourne. Almalad was a f**king disgrace. It and vadjina took spots of horses that could have been competitive.

Very good runs by the horses you mentioned indeed but since there all Wazn's age they won't get any better for the future where as you would hope Sweynesse would keep improving being the youngster.

I think I will refer to all of the mole's horses as 'Waznjina' from now on.

Where can I get a list of potential runners for the Mackinnon Stakes? Nothing on Racenet, VRC, Tattsbet or TAB websites.

Only the VRC Derby and Sprint are available. What's the reason for no Mackinnon Stakes fields?

Very strange.

Dunno if spencer is coming back for side glance but it is the one to beat if it doesn't get slaughtered again.
