Giving tips is always fraught with danger. I've only done it twice with one being a completely bullshit winner.
Back in the early 1980s, a nag called Twin Alps was running at Randwick on a bog track with Beadman on board and about 12s in the market. Beadman become indisposed after the previous race and was replaced by.......wait for it......Bill Camer. Out the backdoor it went in the betting after that announcement.
Twin Alps could run on quicksand by its effort that day and won by over five lengths. Being the old 50c unit days, it paid $19.35 for the win and $5 something for the place. Most of the Riverwood Pub backed it and sent the TAB broke. One good mate had $100 e/w on it while another didn't have a cent on it. He wanted to punch me out for not giving him the tip. Trouble is people I didn't even know backed it as well. I had $10 e/w on it.
The tip came from a lady at work who was the sister of the trainer Rob Thomsen. It wasn't even his horse! Ruby and me used to have our regular punting chit-chat on a Friday afternoon before knock off. She gave me several other winners but none anywhere near as good as Twin Alps.
Jim Jefferies tells a good lesbian joke.Absolute lesbian of a joke
I'm glad that's all it does.....This story makes my nipples happy

"I'll huff and puff and blow your house down....".LMAO this is true, friends think if you follow horse racing closely you should be able to pick a winner every single race,if i was able to pick a winner every race would i be sleeping in a shed made of paddlepop sticks.

That was in the days before product scanning so every item had a neat little sticker on it so it took an age to find it then enter it into the register.
I've got a heap of stories about my time in the bottleshop.
